It's not my fault, every option I wanted said "Here, have some charisma!" D:

Agaronix looked at his siblings. The first one, strange and helpless. The second, strange and... possibly not unlike himself. The third, strange and hostile. Hm. It seemed the world was an interesting place.

Deciding to avoid his hostile sister for now, Agaronix instead decided to give his pathetic one the attention she seemed to be wanting. He crawled over to poke her, ask her what she wanted, and generally try to figure out what was going on.

Right now all your Dragon sees is their axes/knives/spears-you can't tell exactly which-that are most direct threat to him.

With an intelligence of 35, he's unlikely to notice anything else specific they may be carrying or wearing unless you order that to be your action and win an int roll.

Draignean looked at the others balefully, his sister was ailed and may die, his brother was maimed, his mother was dead, and his father was... his father. It could not be described better than that. Young eyes regarded the broken bodies spilled boneless out of their eggs, he looked at the way Hinduarth choked down the flesh of her kin without pausing.

For one so young there was a hint of resignation in his posture as his strong claws ripped the rest of the egg away from one of his dead brethren before glutting himself on its flesh. He would survive. His time would come, but for now he merely needed to survive.

Whatever that meant doing.

Turn 2
The day continued...as predicted, a King was laid low by a thrown stone...by an angry mob of the Makers Faithful. Many say the Church had deliberately set this into motion to further their own aims...the Church of the Maker denied all allegations...

Duratan/Tarran

Duratans first instinct is to speak to his brother Dandrauth, who seems pleased that he came to speak to him. Duratan can make out some draconic words-he says

"Bro-ther? Hello!"

But Dandrauth only cocks his head to the side in annoyance. Duratan unconsciously consults his inner spirit-and is sure that Dandrauth is not an old soul like him. He's fairly young, as souls go. Somehow, this makes him sad...and a little bit jealous.

His brother makes self important cooing noises at him, perhaps hoping his thoughts will transmit into actions. Dandrauth seems to be indicating Duratan should bring him something. Food? He just ate!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Agaronix/IronyOwl

((Int roll=1))

Agaronix pities his sister. Something is wrong-why doesn't she just open her eyes and look around? He makes his way toward her, trying to make out words. All that comes out is a confused gurble.

He's trying to say. "Sis-ter, whats the matter?" and all that comes out is "Grrahuagahl!"

Uh oh, you scared her! Alvrea backs up from him, and Agaronix is curious to see what happens next...she seems to sneeze, but from the throat...he feels a buildup of pressure in front of him, and...

Spoiler: Achoo (click to show/hide)

You are picked up as if by an invisible hand and held aloft in the air. You kick your legs and flap your wings in a panic. Alvrea seems shocked as well, and she panics as well, slamming you into the ground. Ow! Why did she do that? You were just trying to be friendly! You lie on the ground for a moment, taking in this new feeling-pain. It's not too bad, in an odd way, feeling pain.

Spoiler: Dragonstats/Agaronix (click to show/hide)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Draignean

((Luck Roll:6))

Draignean eats his fill...he'll need his strength. It's the most bitter meal he'll ever eat in his life, but it hardens him to what will no doubt be a tough life. As Halnon no doubt intends to show you.

((You gain +5 toughness, +5 Charisma, +5 cruelty for doing the unspeakable. Such an act will harden your heart for the rest of your life...but you will be stronger, emotionally and physically, if you can withstand the ordeals ahead of you.))

You also gain the trait "Dragoneater"-cannibalism is not unknown to Dragons, but most find it difficult, being intelligent creatures. You, on the other hand, will never have that problem...it's up to you if you embrace it or not.))

It gets easier once you stop thinking about them as your brothers and sisters...as Halnon might say to you-and you find your own thoughts straying dangerously down this path against your nature-but, they are just dead meat, and you are hungry...

You notice your brother Harlauth cannot bring himself to eat. He seems to be crying silently, and not moving from one spot. Halnon will not be very understanding of this. Your feelings are torn between pity and...disdain. If he wants to live, he knows what he has to do. Why can't he help himself...

Hinduarth moves from her corner, and growls at you, as she drags the last body back to her corner, and begins feeding once again. Her sickness, if anything, seems to have gotten worse. And yet, going against every natural instinct you have, she appears to be growing stronger. What sort of sickness would do that?

Spoiler: Dragonstats/Draignean (click to show/hide)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alvrea Markon'vie/Haika

(Int roll 4+2=6)

Alvrea calms herself through rational thinking-an amazing accomplishment for one so young. She has, for the moment, dispelled the gnawing panic of being blind and helpless that may have grown in her as she aged and made her dependant.

(Calmed: +1 to Int and Charisma rolls for the next three rolls)

She begins a tentative search...and, she begins to listen to the other voice inside of her. It's very quiet, and very hard to hear, but she recognizes it as her own voice, slightly older and subtly different.

First, Alvrea turns her ears to the world. She begins to make out general sounds, then more precise sounds...the growling, tensing and testy swishing sound of one of her clutchmates tails as it moves through the air and knocks small stones about is the first thing she makes out. Why is your sister so angry? You get that odd feeling again, when turning toward her-like something big was threatening to smother you, like high pressure.

Your second sister-who you will eventually know as Abdusk, makes very little sound at all. Her movements are ordered and precise. You can make out fine scraping sounds...experimentally, you scratch one of your own claws against your metallic nest, and it makes a similiar sound. You can feel your claws becomer sharper as you hone them...it's tedious and exacting work, but it's a pratice you'll generally use for the remainder of your life-your claws will always be sharper out of habit.

(You learned from a young age to take care of your claws with precision and pose by sharpening them against metal and gems. You'll do this habitually over your entire life-and sharp claws are deadly claws. You gained +5 Strength)

Pleased with yourself, you rise up out of your bed, raise up on your hind legs, and flare your nostrils, taking in the scents of whats around you.

Your nose can first detect...Burning Air? The small voice whispers inside you this smells means "Sky Fire", or to non-dragons, "Lightning". It's coming from the direction of some clumsy thing that it is blundering about. You suppose it could be your brother. Next...you look for food. You can't smell any food. Hopefully that is what your Mother is going to get now. Of course, there are many other scents-you smell and hear tiny, furry creatures-not like you at all, sneaking around at a distance. You know they would be very good to eat, if you caught one.

Then you hear the clumsy one-your brother Agaronix, blunder out of his nest, and move toward you. He's trying to say things, but you have no idea what he's saying.

It's quite alarming, in fact! He's scaring you...you back off to the edge of your nest, but he keeps moving closer...well, well...you just want him to go away so much, you *cough* in his direction. Something tells you this is how you would defend yourself. Your senses are confused! You can feel that you lifted him off the ground-how did you do that? You didn't want to hurt him! In a panic, you let him go...a bit harder than you might have intended. You cringe as he smashes to the floor of the cave. He isn't moving...

Spoiler: Dragonstats/Alvrea (click to show/hide)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Urenth/Wolfchild

Urenth doesn't know where to stay or go, so she decides to poke her head out of the cave...her mother doesn't seem to mind.

The world outside is blinding white-not unlike her mothers scales. It's very, very cold, and he is afraid to leave the cave. Cold is death. But...she does explore a bit. Most of the ground is white and cold, but this white she can touch, and taste-it's water. Cold water from the sky? Who knew of such wonders!

((Luck Roll: 5))

She begins sniffing around, looking for something to eat...she wanders away from the cave, but is careful not to go to far. Hmm...she smells something!

It's a small meaty creature hiding underground...and it's afraid of her. It must have heard Urenth. Will she try to dig it up and see what it is?

Spoiler: Dragonstats/Urenth (click to show/hide)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Asabragr/Ahra

(Escape, Agility roll

    Asabargr 5-2=3

vs Dwarf short 4-2=2, escaped!)
    Dwarf tall   4-1=3, Tied!-Roll off)

Asabargr runs, pausing only to knock over his clutchmates Egg-half through panic, the other half out of concern, hoping the impact might free the one inside. He quickly outpaces the slower bearded one, who falls behind panting, but the taller one keeps up with him! He hears an odd whistling behind him...the tall Dwarf jumps at him, sneering evilly.

Spoiler: Khazad Ai Menui! (click to show/hide)

It burns! The Tall One threw one of his claws into Asabargers shoulder blades-it struck in between his scales, but luckily didn't go any deeper. It didn't do much damage, but it certainly hurts alot...Asabargr is afraid to remove it-the claw is jammed in between his scales, and he's afraid he might damage himself if he does it wrong.

He keeps running, leaving the cave and the Tall Dwarf behind...

Eventually, he has to stop...he needs somewhere to rest, and he needs to find food. He looks at where he is. There's not alot of green things here-most of it is hard grey rocks. He can see pinnacles of rock in the distance, with white smoke around them. Below him, he can see a large green patch that stretches on for a long time...he wonders if he could find food in the big green? Or maybe somewhere safe in the rocks to sleep. He's sure the Bearded ones with the claws are following him though...what's he going to do about that?

Spoiler: Dragonstats/Asabargr (click to show/hide)

OOC: Also, check the third post from the top on the first page. It will be the Lore repository!

Draignean looked at his brother, Harlauth's will to live was weak... Too weak it seemed to take the first step, too weak to claim what he need so desperately to survive. He would die, hungry, alone, and utterly helpless.

And yet...

Teeth bared in an frustrated snarl Draignean bit chunks of raw meat free of the carcass that he had already partially consumed, but he did not eat them. Growling all the way he took up the largest chunks in his teeth and brought them to Harlauth, nudging them forwards to him. The message should be perfectly clear. "Eat."

Draignean would eat his dead kin to stay alive, he would do terrible things to stay alive, but this was not a matter of survival for him... This was part of what little family he had.

Besides, having Harlauth on his side would give him majority in the nest and a clear advantage over his diseased sister.

You know, this reminds me, I should start factoring in stats for my own RTD.

I can't believe I forgot it. I mean, seriously, what's the point of stats if they don't do anything?

Duratan did not respect Dandrauth. He was young and foolish. Dandrauth should be respecting him.

Still, his old, kind heart told him to go ahead and get his brother food.

Grudgingly get my brother food. Use my Charisma and Intelligence to get my mother to give me the food.
