I have a Spire-Emporium of the Bazaar. I laugh at eyeless skulls and the Royal Beth Manager.

My goodness, I haven't played this in years. Looks like I'll need some new friends to help me out of a bit of scandal. Are there any other ways of reducing it other then asking friends? Looks like a lot has changed since I've been away. And I'm trying to play incognito on a tablet at work so it's not super easy to navigate. I'm not even sure how you'd find me. Player name is Kotshka, is that enough to go on?

Scandal's easily rid of by praying at your Lodgings, with only a small chance that it'll get out of hand and you will be exiled. But the Tomb-colonies isn't that bad. You could make me your dupe, since I have trouble getting scandal and I kind of need to get a tomb lion.

Did they get rid of the simple ways to reduce Suspicion?

you used to be able to donate rats at the flit, but I cant find any ways (besides opportunity cards) to lower it -- and its preventing me from playing more in the Great Game.

I just picked up my first tomb lion a couple weeks ago, but I might as well breed it and then get another.  You can send me some of your scandal also, if you like.

And any other interesting activities; I'm in an odd spot where the next steps in any of my open quests will require a lot of grinding.

Nope, that ceases to be an option once your shadowy is high enough.

I have a bunch of opportunity cards which reduce my suspicion so I don't really feel its effect.

I thought that might have been it, so I equipped the talkative rat to lower my stats and the cards didnt come back.

It must look at natural / unmodified -- or it must be a unidirectional change...  I guess I'll just have to advance shadowy more slowly.

Actually, it seems that it's in The Big Score storyline now.

That just gives me the 'watching them watching you' card, which lets you pick up a few clues but does nothing good or bad for your suspicion.

Does anyone know some decent ways to lose nightmares? It's consistently the menace that holds me back because there's so little you can do about it.

Drink wine at Mrs. Plenty's Carnival. Then probably head immediately to Church at your Lodgings to get rid of the Scandal it will generate.

I dont mind that one so much, trips to the mirror marches are always benign as long as you pick the right cards.  You can get some stat gains, some 'walking the fallen cities' (if it is good for anything...) and occasionally other random stuff.

That said, my method of keeping it in check is to balance nightmare gain with wounds.  sleeping off your wounds often reduces nightmares, so just spend some time on dangerous tasks and it takes care of its self.

Just in case you can't keep your nightmares low even with the above methods, keep Memories of Light on you.

You can add a player's name in the Acquaintance thingy in the Lodgings, and they receive a message, yep! :D

Add me too! I'm Tiruin! :P [Also I'm an avid K&C player--my weakness is NOT ELUSIVE. Cinder, we still have that pact :P]

I don't think I can even attack you unless I break the pact :o

Also I have a bunch of acquaintances which I don't have on my contacts, so I can't snub them. This is mildly aggravating.

I was reminding you (in a silly way) about the pact :P ...Since it seems we're running short of K&C contestants in our acquaintance list. How do I add people to that by the way? I have this awesome guy in there--but that's the fact that he's the ONLY one in my list ._.; So it's...well, I'm bashful to repeatedly hit him despite being 1 more award from reaching the highest rank of Knife and Candle.
