Blah. You get so used to having those second chances, and then they run out! It's saddening!

Anyways, if you do the surveys and watch the videos on the 'buy fate' page, you can earn quite a bit of fate for free. It's only my second day and I have 8 fate now. (I could have 12 if I do another survey right now..maybe later today.)

I need four Confident Smiles in order to continue my ambition path.
Anyone willing to have a supper (or two..I think it's 2 smiles per supper)?

Sure, i'll send you two invitations to supper as soon as my next day starts in two hours.

And by any chance, is your ambition hearts desire?

Yeah, it is. It looked cool, so I picked it! And thanks a lot!

Why are the ambitions so expensive to get rid of? For the price of one of the tea things to remove it, I could buy a couple of the content packs!

EDIT: Gah, failing Watchful things is scary. Getting so many Nightmares, some help would be nice!

Thanks for the gift, it was very helpful. Unfortunately, I did go insane.
It's not too bad though, and my dreams weren't too high either.

This ambition SUCKS. You have to do the same thing over and over, until you succeed enough to get it to five....each try, success or failure, increases your nightmares by a hefty amount. Luckily I'm almost done, so once I leave the state of confusion, I should be good to finish it.

I'm at about 15 fate now, and it goes up by about 5 each day that I do surveys. Should I get a second candle? Or should I buy that extra content?

Trying to get into the forgotten quarter? London street signs are only 5 echoes in the Bazaar.

I know, but I only have 4 echoes worth of stuff even if I sold all of it.
And I think some of it will come in handy later...therefore, I'll hoard it all.

If you have good shadow skill you can catch cats in Spite, high levels of Shadowy let you get 13 Cryptic Clues per action.

What do you have to do over and over? For anything that requires running battles/inspirations, etc. and so on, I generally just ignore them and wait until I have the appropriate opportunity card, then use that to boost me up. (generally, do the action once to get to lv2 before using the opportunity card).

I'm enjoying my ambition so far, but man are things starting to get expensive. Gotta teach this stupid mandrake to sing, and I can only pay in honey... Anyways, for the most part I just ignore the ambitions until I'm rolling in echoes and having nothing else to do.

Cause man, I'd have 5 echoes just from selling my worthless rat corpses at this point!

Speaking of rats. if anyone wants any I can send a hundred over with this opportunity card.

I usually do that too, but it's not one of the basic ones (Inspired..., Fascinating), it's a very specific one for that part. (It's named after that particular storylet.) I could save up the Echoes, I suppose, but my only decent skills are Watchful and Pursuasive, 12 and 20, respectively.

It's a shortcut around buy the London Sign, which would be all the items I have at the moment. And I like to hoard things.

And I'm almost done now, anyways, so I might as well just get the last point of Quality needed to unlock the new area.

Well, I could send you the rats, and then at least you'd be an echo closer to whenever the next time you need to buy something is.

Yeah, I just hated that one because it sent me to a state of some confusion :/

Also, sort of spoiler

Isn't it luck based, though, meaning never more than equal odds? That means your only averaging 20pence a search, and thats not really that good.

I've done about 16 searches, 14 of them successful.
Think, for 10 actions I can get 2 echoes 60 pence by getting Cryptic Clues from a black cat, but spoiler can give me up to 5 echoes with a bit of luck.

But yeah, there's always the chance of failing 10 times in a row, thereby wasting an hour.
