I not seen the travel card yet, it's never cost me an action to move anywhere.
I ended up buying both the observatory and bookshop lodgings. You don't get to keep any more cards, so it's not really worth it, but you do keep both lodgings keys - they each unlock a minor storylet.

I have the room above the flophouse right now, and cryptic clues are easy to get if you have high shadowy, just catch cats.

Ahh it was a red bordered card, and this time when I clicked on it it gave me a fate point, Decreased my "Newcomer" status and disappeared.  I think it's just a kind of "tip" for newbies, 'cause I got another one and it was just a suggestion to sell my prisoner clothes at the bazaar.   Lol, so I have been playing with one card less than I should have - oh well :D

Graven, you're RELEASING THEM!?!?!?

I'm not sending them to you and sacrificing my relationship to the dutchess for nothing, you're supposed to unwrap and send them back until we do it properly! The cat is attacking you because it's willingly playing the game! (at least that's what the last one I talked to said)

Also, I have a cottage by the observatory, a rooftap shack, and smoky flophouse. I will collect all the houses, yesss....

Edit:
Quote
There is a chittering shriek of rage, and a sorrow-spider launches itself from the remnants of the box! You stagger about the room, trying desperately to tug it free from your hair, while its mandibles snap and its legs dig into your scalp. Finally you cut it free and stamp it into green goo. You have sustained considerable damage both to your scalp and your dignity.
Haha, very funny Grav.

Hey man, it says right up there - Gravenous, a ferocious and devious gentleman. If you wanna pull a Ned Stark and trust me, well now...

Also I am releasing (some of) them because I'm so freaking Magnanimous. And those you've sent me I've unwrapped only to have them reenact that famous Greebo scene from Lords and Ladies!

edit : Also have another spider FRIENDLY FURRY KITTEN.

re-edit : I seem to have acquired 53 ridiculous hats O,o

I made a new Twitter (for this), the name is ROFLHead, same as the username for Twitter and Eho Bazaar.

I sent a couple of invitations to dinner, and followed all of you.

Now back to figuring out how this stuff works.

Does anyone know the most profitable activity in terms of Echoes?
I'm around mid range in most skills, I've been catching black cats and selling the Cryptic Clues.

How do I check on invites I sent out?
I see a screenshot of the page earlier in the thread but I can't seem to find it..

EDIT: Ah, it's on the home page.
Anyways, this is pretty fun so far, how much is the interaction with other people required as far as enjoying the game goes? That's why I was hesitant to join before I saw the people playing it here, although I'd heard of it before.

You can get by fine without interacting with anyone, having friends just makes it easier to get things like hard earned lessons and sudden insights, as well as being able to tend your wounds and treat your nightmares without the relatively expensive items.

Cool, thanks.

Used all my actions for today, and it doesn't reset for 17 or so hours. Weird time to do it..even in London that's what, 5PM?

Anyways, what are the punishments for going insane/other Malice effects? Because I'm curious but don't want to do them if they're too harmful..

I signed up for this today, my twitter is "niudna"
I've been having a fair amount of fun with it, just fiddling around getting a feel for it.
I just charmed my way into a widow's house, and I have a card for my mysterious benefactor who wants me to go spy on a devil. Along with having had some miscellaneous adventures. I've gotten one nightmare and injury, but from what I understand that's no big deal.

I'll follow you when I play tomorrow, Pnx.

Hrmm, I am out of Confident Smiles, if anyone could invite me to dinner, it'd be nice.

OH GOD IT WAS ANOTHER SPIDER HOW COULD YOU

Fine! I sent YOU a gift this time, tell me how it goes! Mwahaha!

On another note, people, stop inviting me to dinner. Seriously. I have like 40 stupid smiles. If you want to invite me to something, invite me to lurk around or to some fisticuffs. Heck, I'm rolling in laudanum, even a dream session would be okay, but no more stupid dinners!

Sorry about that, I was pretty much just clicking randomly when I first started xD

And that cat in the box storylet was hilarious, it makes me want to start a game of it in real life. :P

OH GOD IT WAS ANOTHER SPIDER HOW COULD YOU

... so you decided to repackage it and send it back to me, huh  >:(

"You have sustained considerable damage both to your scalp and your dignity. ", indeed.

Also this rat infestation has lead to my Dangerous becoming my highest quality, and I'm STILL not done.

edit : Oh ho ho, I spoke too soon! Epic showdown between Man and Rat!

Spoiler: Peace with Honour (click to show/hide)
