It sounds interesting, but I have neither a Facebook nor Twitter account, and I don't plan to get either. So, I guess it's a miss.

Well it's not like all of us made a twitter specifically to play, but your choice mate :) Just know you're losing on some really interesting reads.

Also I paid the poisoner Dottore Rappacini and god damn that was a horrible thing he did to those rats. And their hoards sure have some weird stuff in there... got a Bloodstained Suit and a Shabby Opera Cloak.

edit : Also come loiter suspiciously with me because I'm planning on leveling up my Shadowy soon.

Making a twitter account takes about 30 seconds (use a disposable email account if you're worried about spam). It doesn't ask for a credit card number, one of your kidneys or the blood of your first born. Once it's made, you can just forget it and go about your day - for game purposes you're never required to visit the twitter page again (optionally you can follow other players on twitter in order to interact with them in game).
I've been jumping through these bullshit techno-hoops for years just to play games - and my contempt for social media in all its forms has not wavered one iota.

Additionally, on my travels I have accrued a couple of bottles of Black Wings Absinthe. I'm not going to check the wiki to see exactly what it does (I'm hoping it's basically super-laudanum). I'd imagine the worst thing that it could do would be wiping out your dream progress and increasing your wounds score. Anyone want to share a bottle of it with me for the purposes of scientific inquiry?
It would be my pleasure to explore the contents of these deliciously labeled bottles. If you could perhaps linger for a while longer while we're at it, and help me stitch my cuts and bruises I'd be even more happy than I usually am after stumbiling upon a free drink.

I take particular delight in that merry concoction, Black Absinthe... but it is, perhaps, better if I were to share my own bottle. I do tend to finish it off when left to my own devices, and I'm sure sharing it would be... much safer.

And it would be wonderful to have someone to prowl with, I think. I'll share the drink with anyone willing to patch up my own wounds, I think.

No-one has of yet informed me how to treat another player's wounds, so...  :-\

You go to your house and invite a friend over for something potentially dangerous, you can choose to nurse them back to health, spar or poison them.

Oh damn, did you tell me and I overlooked it?  :'( Sorry!

And Glyph, thou shalt be heal'd, shouldst thou accept my invitation. Also yes I know exactly how mangled this sentence is.

And also also - anyone wanna get poisoned? I have 2 bottles of poison! For friends the service is totally free!

I really hope that, when dealing with nightmares, more nightmares are lost than gained.

I'm really enjoying this game too, though I sometimes have to remind myself that it's perfectly alright to have actions left over at the end of the day.  It's not like I really care about maxing everything as fast as possible.  It's a bit weird that I think I've invited more people over for chess than for most of the other actions, but I need the sudden insights to deal with the nightmares.  I probably should do more loitering and hold more dinners though.

Nah, it's cool, I need a lot of Sudden Insights too, because failure at Watchful challenges brings me Nightmares already, and that is sub-optimal :\

Yup, that's a failure...

Weeeeell that was a good night of drinking Absinthe, wasn't it Glyph :)

Also this is the second cat in a box that only ravages my poor face before escaping. And I could really use a cat with all those rats around :(

If I buy another lodging, will I lose the key to the 1st one?  And is it worth going from Room Above the Observatory to Rooms Above the Bookshop?  Both are 3 cards, and the Bookshop would cost ALL my Cryptic Clues :p

Also I have been hanging on to this Travel card - how bad is the travel between areas if I get rid of it?  Does it cost an action to move or something?  I have never not had it, so I don't know what life is like without it ;D
