Hah, I've been sitting at 5-6 all the time while listening to people's dreadful stories In the beginning it isn't such a problem, but later on failure at storylets also increases your nightmares and it gets annoying.

So I just drank a bunch of laudanum and spent a few action points healing.

I am currently honing my Dangerous skill, because everything else is starting to have negative effects on failure, and the Masters know I tend to fail everything above straightforward with alarming consistence. Trying to fight off some Sorrow Spiders now, let's see what I get out of that.

Also an opportunity card gave me a rare vintage Greyfields 1868 straight out of mr Wines' cellar

I'm still playing (meganleb on Twitter, Kotshka in-game). My stats are D-20 W-17 P-30+1 S-20. I'm focusing on being persuasive, but I want to stay fairly balanced by working on the other skills as well. I'm currently chasing down an absconding devil, but I'm rather proud of how long my list of connections, story, and other traits is. Although my hedonism trait is a bit higher than I really wanted it to be...

I've already gotten a thousand from my infestation. Of course, I've also spent them all already. The rats are great. Such a wonderful source of neverending rats in high quantities, and gold as well!

 Today I had quite an impressive windfall from an ongoing storylet - a reward of 560 nevercold brass slivers. Can anyone beat that?
 I've not started dealing with my own rat infestation as yet - it sounds like a way of getting close to the Labyrinth of Tigers entry fee (5000 rats on a string). It's such an exorbitant price that there must be something worthwhile inside..
 Additionally, on my travels I have accrued a couple of bottles of Black Wings Absinthe. I'm not going to check the wiki to see exactly what it does (I'm hoping it's basically super-laudanum). I'd imagine the worst thing that it could do would be wiping out your dream progress and increasing your wounds score. Anyone want to share a bottle of it with me for the purposes of scientific inquiry?
