A note: Some people may already know this, but I just discovered it myself. If you wait until you are completely out of actions for the day, and then use your "Echo" to collect an additional 10 actions, it does in fact give you 10 extra actions. If you use the "Echo" prior to using up your actions for the day you do not get any bonus actions, you just get to burn through them a bit faster. So yeah, hopefully my !!SCIENCE!! is accurate in that statement, but I'm pretty sure it is.

No, I believe that twitter echoing is 10 free actions regardless.

What a strange and beautiful world I beheld, but dangerous too, I was certain. And I was friendless and homeless. And so I prayed.

So, does anyone need wounds treated? I need wounds treated. It's the only one that needs to be offered, really, so we could use the thread to work that out.

(One person treating my wounds is enough)

Also, I just lost ALL those recurring dreams I was working so hard on. :(

So... how do I treat your wounds? I have a bottle of some medicine, but seem to only be able to use it on myself.

Also I misclicked like a retard and rejected a bunch of your invitations for stuff... didn't mean to! Sorry :)

edit : Also I tested echoing on twitter. I spent 10 actions and had 30 left. I echoed a thing and had 40 actions left. So it does always add 10 additional actions! Worth knowing :)

I should mention that due to some account juggling and other sheaningans, I'm now connected to the game firstly via FB(with twitter linked), which results in my FB account name showing on the invitations instead of Signore Palazzo. That Adam guy is I. I'd appreciate people not using FB to join my clique in the Neath, heading for ye olde twitter instead.
You are not permitted to use this information for any nefarious schemes, unless I can get over 50% share in the loot.

edit: to treat somebody's wounds, you invite him/her "to join you in something potentially dangerous" and choose "nurse a friend back to health". Notice the "poison an acquaintance" option.

And I can't stress how much I loathe storylets with the [Warning: failing here may mean you have to start over!] descriptor. I failed a modest difficulty one two times in a row. I've spent close to 30 actions chasing a freaking rat!
Ugh, I hate these too. My satirical poem about mushrooms was rejected (at low-risk, no less), which cost me about 15 actions. So perhaps the only way around it is to get it down to straightforward difficulty, which will take about 30 actions (I don't think I've seen those fail yet).

Ok, seriously, game?

You know when you pick a newly unlocked storylet, and there are two choices, both of which almost impossible, but you just know the second one is much harder, because it stays almost impossible long after the first choice is at high-risk or even modest?

Well I just unlocked one of those for the Dangerous quality, and sure enough, it's just to raise my dangerous, might as well pick the second.

Success.

TWO TIMES IN A ROW.

While it took me a good 40 turns to finish that god damned huge rat thing, failing 3 times at modest.

Gotta love the rngs right? I do wish they would weight things a bit differently. And with the pursuits it would be nice if they at least varied your actions. So instead of spamming the exact same action it would change the action and storylet every two or three levels. I'm painting a portrait right now and I've had the brats sit down for a session at least two dozen times and spent a ton of honey getting lessons from other artists (though that at least reduced the nightmare quality). I'm the worst artist ever!

I don't bother on those unless I've drawn an opportunity card or two that will let me breeze through it.

Fast Hetty's Husband plus Sardonic Singer means, for example, I can spend two actions to finish casing something. Not too shabby!

The devil-hunting to GET the singer was dreadfully boring, but totally worth it. Talking to her is a decent raise to both criminals and bohemians.

Been having quite a bit of fun with this game.  Username and twitter are both "hpmons", because I'm unoriginal.

With the reducing nightmares social option, how much is reduced? And does the other person gain an equal amount to what was lost, or less?

My Nightmares menace is currently 5 due to an ambition bit (which I still haven't completed as it'll raise my nightmare higher still), need help reducing it.

I think it's based on chance.
And protip, when someone wants to confess nightmares to you, don't agree if yours are already at about 5 :P
