For those playing the Post-World War III (Non-Nuclear) Scenario: If any country sends a peace envoy, TURN BACK THE ENVOY! If you don't it will screw up your influence. First it will jump to 100% WHICH IS BAD! Because the next envoy will seriously hurt your influence and drop the peace meter considerably.

Also due to "wary" ethics, US is temporary "at odds" with France and the Developing Capitalist countries. That is easily fixed: Just make a bunch of peace talks with your allies. By the way while the U.S.A. has France rated as "MFN" in regards to trade, France has the U.S.A. rated as "restricted". Just ask to tighten economic ties with France once or twice, then they will hand you MFN Status which would go well for Quality of Life which is currently at 55%.

Don't worry so much about the lower QofL levels of the U.S.A., that can be fixed by giving Soviets sovereignty... but you don't have to have your QofL at 100%. I did quite well with it at 55% for many ingame months and got reelected with over 99% of the vote. So with me, I will just maintain the occupation of the Soviet Union until I get their military and nuclear spending down by at least 90%.

Okay, I have decided to continue the occupation of the Soviet Union. Reason is even though I have gotten them to reduce their military spending to less then 10% of what it was before, I still have to work on getting them to reduce its nuclear spending in a similar percentage ratio. As per your request, I have listed all occupations from conflicts occurring from 1990-1997.

Several of the firstworld countries own land, but since they don't own any neighboring countries their growth is hard to see. Nepal is rather forlorn and lonely, trapped inside the huddled morass of overpopulation that is the new India. All in all, quite a bit of expansion has taken place. The map will certainly have been forever changed by your actions, and history will never ever forget you for what you've done. Which is, specifically, create the nation of OUTSOURCE R' US.

I had already sworn to myself I would not use the Universal Game Editor in this particular Let's Play. However since the Iraq-Saudi Neutral Zone is already zero population and has zero troop levels, I might... just MIGHT make an exception and use the UGE make it so Iraq owns the Iraq-Saudi Neutral Zone. Current Game Background
1990-1991: Iraq takes over Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, & Jordan. Soviet Union & Japan butt heads
1992: US helps Capitalists take over Iraq and all holdings. The United States allows Iraq to keep their gains and even helps them take over Iran.
1993: Second Korean War--North Korea, for some unknown reason, leaves the Soviet WTA but still remains Communist. The United States and South Korea invade North Korea and beats them after roughly 3 weeks.
1994: Soviet Union and Japan continues butting heads, provoking 3-4 US surgical strikes, which by some on heard of miracle does not trigger a nuclear strike. The Soviets helps Communist rebels take Tunisia.
1995: Soviet Union surgical strikes Israel, resulting in full trade embargo by the US.
May 1, 1995--Start of World War III
1: Soviet Union invades Japan; United States, South Korea, & Taiwan back Japan
2: China surgical strikes Taiwan earning a surigical strike from me... which earned me a surgical strike from the USSR
3: United States, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Iceland, and Turkey invade the Soviet Union; Afghanistan backs Soviet Union
4: War expands to engulf parts of Africa and Europe
5: China and Vietnam become Centralist
6: Start of 1996: China now leads the Centralist WTA; Centralism now targeted by Allied Powers
7: War expands into other parts of Africa as well as Oceania, South America, and the Caribbean
8: May 1, 1996: Soviet Union unconditionally surrenders, marking defeat of the last communist country. India, U.S., Taiwan, Pakistan, UK, Burma, and Hong Kong invades China; Vietnam backs China
9: June 1, 1996: China surrenders and occupied by India; Vietnam and few remaining Centralist countries invaded and defeated the same day.
10: December 31, 1996: Spain and U.S. invade Morocco and then Western Sahara; Soviets actually tried backing Morocco and were easily beaten--fools!
11: January 1, 1997: Soviet/China World Team Alliances dissolved and peace meter returns to Global Peace, formally marking the end of the Third World War

Note: It could possibly be argued that another start date for World War III was June 21, 1994 when the United States launched several surgical strikes on the USSR in response to them sabotaging Japan's economic assets as they had been doing since 1990. I considered covert ops again like in 1990 but found that the Russians were well to prepared for that this time, so I was forced to resort to the military option. However major combat didn't commence until May 1, 1995 when the Soviets invaded Japan which is why I marked that as the start of WW3

Yeah, had a plentiful number of moments of "brinkmanship" and close calls with Armageddon. I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S. strategic nuclear forces went to DEFCON 3 or even DEFCON 2 during the course of World War III. In fact, I included "DEFCON 3" as part of the title of a couple of my saved games.

While I am not yet in the mood to continue the let's play, I still have been playing the game. I've been trying to find out how some ideologies are put ingame. A Communist country becomes Democratic Socialist when a democratic non-capitalist nation directs a coup against them. I think Imperialism can happen during a civil war in a Communist nation, but I am not entirely sure.
