You know if even FAILING to attempt peace with some raises your QoL, you have a major problem.

Ah, yeah, about that. The Soviet Union, if they lose the ideology of Communism, or undemocratic Socialism, usually become one of the most peaceful countries ingame, with a much higher quality of life than before. I'm pretty sure the same thing happened when they became Imperialist in someone elses game.

Anyway it might be a few days before another update. So, here are some tips to nuke places without starting world war three.

. Only use nukes if you have at the very least, 85% popularity.

. If the state of the world is any less than cold peace, DO NOT use nukes.

. Never use more than two nukes.

. Never nuke a country if they are next to a country who could nuke you. If you're feeling very lucky, go ahead and do it, but never use more than one nuke.

. Never nuke an ally of a major power.

. Always have a plan to increase popularity. Using a nuke can drop your popularity from 100 percent to 38 percent. Oh, that brings me to my next point

. NEVER nuke if an election is less than 120 days away.

Ok so I had a pretty eventful little game, but there's something confusing me about the ending:

I played the resource wars scenario scenario for about 2.5 years. India was being super aggressive and I helped defend Pakistan from them (almost decided to invade India, they were even ready to attack China), Iraq didn't really do anything so I just left them alone, China became centralist somehow and I tried to be their friend. A fuckload of African countries joined the Chinese centralist alliance. And finally I couped Afghanistan to get them out of the Soviet alliance and decided that since I had a fuck ton of troops in Pakistan, I invaded Afghanistan for shitsngiggles. Then in a brilliant stroke of luck, I successfully couped the Russkies, they became developing capitalists and somehow pulled France, Germany, UK, Spain, and a couple of my other former allies into the Soviet alliance. Japan was my biggest ally from then on, until the Russians tried to surgically strike them, which I stopped by threatening with nukes. This, I believe, was the reason they nuked me about a week later (only killing about 8 mil people, so I don't think they launched many nukes). So after that things pretty much went to shit, I thought I was doing so well too....

Okay, if I were you I'd revert to a saved game before you threatened the Russians with nukes. Only give a U.S. protest or threaten them with sanctions. Don't threaten military or nuclear action. And don't bother trying to get the UN involved as the Soviets will veto you.

You think that is weird? In my new Post-Apocalyptic Scenario, I found that while Imperialist U.S.A. is "at odds" with pretty much every ideology on earth (Capitalism, Nationalism, Socialism, etc), it seems that the every member of the Soviet-led Communist bloc is either in a state of "cooperation" with the U.S. or simply "indifferent".
