The most interesting thing I've done on this game was nuke Russia from day one, flattening their nation. They fired back and flattened part of mine, those two events caused a huge chain reaction of condemnings and a couple wars.

Nuclear wars in Shadow President are extremely violent, and escalate quickly. A few months ago I used 2 nukes on Iraq because I invaded before they attacked Kuwait, and of course that didn't go so well. It escalated into a global thermonuclear war. Most major powers were destroyed in a matter of a week. They really have no practical use.

I once ended a war with a nuke and had no retaliation. It's probably extremely rare, though.

Do it. We have a Casus belli, and we instead choose to let them off lightly. The Soviets are not going to stop us from getting the most basic of retaliatory strikes.
