Ok, I'll start playing after my virus scanner is done. Virus scanners seem to have a bad habit of making Dosbox run like shit for me.

Everyone should list their strong points in the game Shadow President, that way everyone could prepare accordingly. Strong points include: budget arrangement, diplomacy, waging wars, etc.

I have fought many wars on Shadow President and even defeated the Soviet Union on more then one occasion. Also I'm very good at helping one or more of my allies gain additional territory. My biggest accomplishment thus far is Super Israel.

Due to the extreme nature of using nuclear weapons, I am recommending a "two-man" rule be implemented in our succession game. If any player wants to use the Nuclear Option, Angel Of Death must be the "second man" and he must agree. Of course if Angel Of Death wants to use nukes, I can be the "second man". And both men must record their approval in this forum. Games with unapproved nuclear attacks should not be allowed to be used for succession. Also I can consider myself "on call" to be the "second man" in the event Angel Of Death is projected to be unavailable for a period of time.

Obviously any information on the current world situation such as maps, target troops numbers, target WTA associations, etc should be forwarded to the "second man".

I say we concentrate on crippling enemy nuclear capacity with strategic strikes

Umm... surgical strikes on the Soviet Union or any member of the Soviet WTA as well as any hostile states bordering the Soviet Union will almost always result in the Soviet Union launching a full scale nuclear first strike on the United States.

Which allows us to retaliate full force against them.We can launch our entire nuke arsenal on Soviet Union, cripple them and then invasion

Okay I have a new suggest that surgical strikes on the Soviet Union, one of their WTA members, or a hostile state bordering the Soviet Union should also be subject to the "two-man" rule. Also retaliatory nuke strikes are also subject to the "two-man" rule.

Yeah. This sounds good.

Ok. What should we do?

That could also take forever if most members are inactive for several days. Having a few backup "second men" could also work, preferably those who have been able to nuke and avoid retaliation. Which ever voting option is used, the one voting should reserve the right to request any and all information regarding the current world situation no matter how irrelevant the information may seem.

First goal is to build up leadership effectiveness. Though you might want to focus on your allies by using diplomatic efforts which are sure to succeed. Saving as you go is highly recommended.

Also it is a good idea to deploy a small number of troops to Iceland, Norway, and Svalbard. I'd say no more then 50-100 troops. That way they are more likely to take in your troops on the first request. After that, you can increase the numbers in those countries as well as in Japan and Turkey. That way it could be easy to deal with the Soviet Union at a later date.

Also I recommend giving "MFN" status to both Japan and France.
