At the end of the year, the economy you set will effect how the ENTIRE NEXT YEAR will go. As far as I know, the economy changes depending on the settings on the end of the year. Not as you change it.

Yeah, about as good as it gets. But if you feel safe enough, lower the Defense a little lower, say 250 or 200, and knock down Corporate taxes so they can grow a little faster.

Also, generally getting GNP high is a good idea. More GNP=More money growth per-month.
