From the filters, it looks like the countries that would be the best targets for post-Cold War mop up would be Mauritania, Mongolia, and the aforementioned Sudan. Bringing their standards up and their uncapitalist governments down should do the most for the world averages.

Okay, I am so sorry people, but due to dissatisfaction and irreversible screw ups, I have decided to officially revert back to save at the point just after I got re-elected. I have blotted out all my replies I made on this "Let's Play" forum after the one pertaining to Election Day.

Since I just lost nearly 8 in-game months in 8 real-life minutes, I think I should just go ahead and take a break from Shadow President for an undetermined amount of time. I will try to return soon. Sorry.

Game Update--Start of 1997
Okay I have some good news and some EVEN more good news. I have not only been able to resume sooner then I thought I would be able to, I was able to help one of my allies gain more territory. Just before the start of the New Year, I helped Spain take control of Morocco as well as Western Sahara at no cost in American lives. The swift defeat of Morocco also pushed my popularity up to 100%. As before, the peace meter has gone up to full global peace and the Soviet/China World Team Alliances were dissolved at the start of 1997, marking the formal end of the Third World War. This time India has achieved "Great Power" status and now leads its own World Team Alliance consisting of every Nationalist state.

Deal with Mexico so you don't have an enemy at the gates. A side goal to fighting the Nationalist Alliance could be taking down Fundamentalist Islam. It only has two states left, Sudan and Oman, neither of which have good ethics or are in your WTA.

Giving China to the Soviets is never a good idea, ever. Every game I've played, in which the Soviets got China ended in the USA becoming a minor power, or the Soviets causing WW3, WW4, and WW5.
