Merysta cocks her head to the side. Something feels off, some sound she heard, but she's too young to focus on it for long. Right now, she's starving, and there's a tasty carcass in front of her that is only half-devoured. She sets back to it; there will be time later to look for the jasper.

(Stop giving away my ideas. ^^^ I'm planning on trying to take over a small village when I get old enough, myself...)
...There's a difference between taking over a town and befriending a town.

(I'm bored, so I'll address this. By taking over town, I don't mean 'stomp in roaring and demand tribute.' I mean more 'find a small village, befriend them, get them to think of me as a protector, help them take over other small villages and expand into a full-fledged city state, then reap the benefits of being worshipped by a mass of people' type of thing. ^^^ Unlikely, but I can dream. And attempt.)

Very similar to my plans! Especially the use of the term "worshiped" as opposed to "served" or "is friends with." :P

I dunno, it looked to me like you;re going with the 'hostile takeover' route. :P I foresee a shaky alliance that will probably end with Merysta and Raikonai either hooking up or constantly trying to stab each other in the back, then hiding the knives and acting innocent whenever the other turns around. XD

Side note, I actually made more progress in the army combat system. So random events for kingdoms may return.

"Hmph. Then enjoy your dirt and sand, maggots."

Fly away, at a slightly off angle from my lair. It's important to not look weak, and leaving promptly would be wise.

Return to lair, after the slight detour to throw off any attempts at tracking.

You retreat, defeated without a single drop of spilt blood. Well, at least as far as you could tell. Someone could have had a nosebleed.

You fly away at and angle and return to your lair.

After taking in her surroundings, Anthramarux took a moment to think...her Mother, if properly motivated, would probably lay waste to the camp in a rage...but, she might destroy the very scales the Gods wanted, or otherwise scatter them to the four winds with fleeing bandits.

No...she decided to take a risk and visit Gunstun, the knight commander. Surely, he could enlist his help in wiping the bandit blight from the land...or at least, some medical aid. While she chafed at the thought of being in debt to him-noble though he may be-she knew it was the easiest way to achieve her goal.

And if she had tell some creatives fiction to them, then so be it. It was for their own good, after all.

Action: Fly toward Gunstun's army camp at a safe level, to avoid hostile intent.
You fly towards not-Gunstun's camp at a somewhat safe level. And slowly. Hopefully not invoking hostile intent.

You arrive above their camp. Everyone is panicking. To be fair, you are a dragon.

A bunch of knights come out of a building. Surely one of them must be Gunstun.

There was nothing Kin hated more than a swamp. It was damp, the ground was soggy, the water disgusting and the air had a pungent smell to it, like ripe fruit simmering in muddy water. Worse was that he wasn't as fit as he thought him be. He started to lose height because  of his tired wings. He started to regret his impulsive decision and should have just staid home.

While keeping his northern direction now on ground, Kin kept an eye out for anything living that would be too close to him. With tired wings and unstable ground he wanted to be alert against any adversaries he might meet.
You continue walking north. It's just more swamp. Lots of swamp. Swampswampswampswampswamp. You've pretty much reached the edge of the swamp and can't go north any further on foot as the swamp turns into lake.

Jaydenhal would wait.
((Please don't do this kind of action. 9/10 times I do an action, I leave the player in a situation where I expect at least some input. I do not consider waiting input. In fact, I consider plain waiting (waiting without your character doing anything at all) to be a waste of the poster's time and mine.))

You wait, standing perfectly still.

Your mother looks at you for a good while. She then starts to look worried. "He's not reacting. Is there something wrong?"

"I... don't know. I've never heard of this from my parents. I guess we'll have to see."

...

You spend several years with your parents. Life is fairly standard so far. You eventually become a child. Refer to turn 5 for roleplaying changes.

[4]: Life is really quite average. Though today your parents are now giving you a gift for your birthday. A first for this RTD.

They give you a fancy ring. They don't tell you what kind of ring it is, though.

Cevitil attempts to track the Duke and Baron's movements, examining them and their repertoire for any possible weaknesses. Also, examine the castle for the same.

Be sure to keep an eye, nose, ear, etcetera out for any information concerning the Spy Master.

Also, be subtle.

You examine the Duke and Baron's movements for any weaknesses. [Int:6]: You examine their escorts carefully. There aren't many visible weaknesses. Determined, you foolishly get too close to the two and find four guards bearing down on you. You don't hear anything about the spymaster.

"Stand back, dragon. The Duke and Baron are passing by. Can't have you causing trouble."

Turns out, being subtle as a dragon in a city of humans is pretty darn difficult, as you catch the eyes of a lot of the escorts of the two lords and you catch the Baron's attention as he passes by.

+1 Int.

Merysta cocks her head to the side. Something feels off, some sound she heard, but she's too young to focus on it for long. Right now, she's starving, and there's a tasty carcass in front of her that is only half-devoured. She sets back to it; there will be time later to look for the jasper.
You bloody your face with the blood of your meal. What is left is the undesirables and bones. Everything else is eaten.

There is a sort of blood lust with the blood, but it doesn't really 'fit' your current mood.

Cast my higher-tier Heat spell on a tree. Then travel back towards my home (south-west I believe)
[Int:1]: You attempt to cast the-AAAAHHHH HOT HOT HOT! You wave your left hand around in pain; you've got a burn underneath your scales on your right front arm/leg and hand... It hurts quite badly. ...You flopped up on one of the most basic safety rules and managed to target yourself.

South west is into the sea. You're waaaay off course. Your home is on the same tile.

Anyway, you fly a short distance back home.

-1 HP. -1 Int.

check out the cave
((No, you're not going to search the whole cave in 1 turn.))

[1][3][3]: You look around the cave and find two blank rooms with nothing in them. So it doesn't come as a surprise that the next one i-OH GOOD LORD GIANT SNAKE HOLY CRAP.

Ask mum, what that goblet is, then ask what's wrong
You ask mother what the goblet is.

"It... It's a goblet I took from a human. Nothing special... besides it being gold... I think I'm sick..."

Mother lays down, coughing, dropping the goblet.

Why did you run a turn? Now I feel compelled to run a turn for mine you bastard.  >:(

But more to the point...

If you don't mind, I'd enjoy having a look at your army combat system later. I'm going to have to work out one of my own eventually, looking at a prototype by someone of a very different style might be useful.

Raikonai snorted. His first attempt at building a power base had failed, on account of his subjects being insolent, arrogant, dirtmongering worms with no interest in bettering themselves. He wondered, a bit maliciously, if their fetid dirt pile would just fester there forever or be wiped out by whatever subjects eventually accepted his rule.

Well, no matter. That region was dead, so he needed to think about another. Or at least, he needed to think about another once he'd had a chance to rest- all this flying was tiring him out.

Okay, I'll PM it. I'm not sure how much use if can be for you since you have no RTDs with the same setting, I'm not sure how balanced it is, and one half of it isn't really nearly finished and partially outdated... but if you say so.

Yeah, I just kinda don't care anymore.

it;s gotten to that point where I just go 'Oh god I have to do another turn?' whenever I see the thread update.
That's okay. So I assume you're quitting?
