If their plants, then yeah, assimilate them ( still not sure how you do that ) that way you can produce food for yourself using sunlight.  I'm not really sure about the pluricellular stage thing, it would be cool, I guess.  If they're really not that special, just eat them.

I just had an ( potentially stupid ) idea...why not become a parasite or a virus?  It could net us an endless food supply if we have a good host, we could reproduce efficiently, and we'd be really creepy.

i remember on this game where you were a virus, i think its pandemic 2, but you could NEVER win unless you spawned on madagascar.

no, you could actually win by getting to madagascar before it closed.
you just had to start parasite. with nothing ELSE. not even bonus of infectivity or anything.
just resistances.
run multiple time the game.
wait for when everywhere were infected.
then make hell break lose.
i lost four days getting it done.

The reason it's so difficult to infect Madagascar is because they have only one entry way, and they can shut it off so quickly.  Island nations like Greenland, Madagascar, and Japan usually escape my grasp. 

Wait...so does this mean this forum game will turn into pandemic?
