Turn 7

In some instinct, you tread deeper into the warmer depths of the water.

You start to struggle to swim as the ooze becomes more thicker and thicker, but you still feel an odd warm current. You continue on, noticing the debris in the water accumulating and odd lifeforms skitter around you. As you proceed, you encounter an odd culture of cells. They don't seem to react to your presence, but they are still moving. What do you do?

What should you do?

We are actually inside another organism, not water!
Get out!

I'm thinking more to find out whether they are going to act in concert against anything that is hostile towards them. I'm not confident in our ability to fight/eat them all if they decide to swarm us.

They would if we evolved a form of hive mind.

Implying that all organisms must have a membrane in a world with intelligent bacteria?

All change is bad
In an evolution game, this opinion is pure madness.

Implying that all organisms must have a membrane in a world with intelligent bacteria?
Definition of life imply a separation from the outer world.

Being in an organism is not that bad, as long as we're not into the stomach-or-whatever.
Eat one carefully, if poisonnous eject the poison or coat our membrane with it. then if not poisonous eat them all, evolve to swim faster in dark ooze, then divide. that our fellow cells do not obey us is not a problem, for me at least.
