I don't have any arms.  I kick and bite things to death.  Does that count as un-armed combat?  On a related note.  Another one of my adventurers wields is own severed legs into battle (both of them).  Are severed legs considered to be a weapon?  He's damn good with them.

Well, I have grabbed the throat of smth (rhesus) and can only pinch him....
Not even throwing is possible.
Well, my moves with my new epic wrestler/kicker:
Grab head
Pinch eyes until down
Kick in the head/move on to his comrades

Oh, and I always imagine a dorf holding a giant's head while kicking it^^

Was the rhesus standing or on the ground? You can only throw when they're standing, although unless you're a BC or similarly powerful beast they won't go very far - possibly not even one tile. As a BC, however... :3

 I just realized you can get legendary + 5 wrestler by changing your C settings to close combat and strangling someone untill you pass out from exhaustion, as they pass out before dying, and they don't die of strangling while unconscious.

 I now find wrestling very useful.

I use whatever hit the menu thinks will hit, unless I'm aiming for a particular bit. Once the skills are trained up it should mean some battle-ending blows against things larger than monkeys.
