So I was fighting through a dungeon when I reached a room with three necromancer. I shout one to death right away and turn to flame the second one. The third one raises the dead necromancer as a zombie while I kill the second. The zombie necromancer then raises the second necromancer as a zombie.

I have just killed two people out of three and I AM STILL FIGHTING THREE PEOPLE. I hate necromancers!

Also: Your NPC helpers can indeed die. Lydia is now dead at the hands of two frost trolls.

My second char after my dual axe wielding orc berserker is going to be a necromancer.

Better Vampires

Vampires in Daggerfall were very much the walking dead. They would actually die in the process of turning, often being declared legally dead and entombed. They were immune to all but silver and magic weapons, could blend in with the living, and needed to kill and feed every night to keep going. They gathered into clan structures based around multiple bloodlines with different powers.

Vampires in Morrowind were divided into three bloodlines with different powers, and changed into a vampire in their sleep. They couldn't blend in with the living or regenerate health, and didn't need to feed except to regenerate health and they fed via magic. They also had trouble sleeping due to constant nightmares. They also gather into clan structures.

Vampires in Skyrim also change in their sleep, but feed on the sleeping and when fed can blend in with the living, although when hungry they become more monstrous but also more powerful. They were very isolationist, only gathering into packs when driven to madness by hunger and otherwise blending in with society, often masquerading as or being members of the upper classes.

Skyrim's vampires...are the same as Oblivion's in almost all respects? Huh, that don't seem quite right. In old lore, they were weird beasts with powers over ice and snow and still are described as such in the book "Immortal Blood". Okay, sure I can buy that book was lying or wrong but still, it bugs me since different areas are supposed to have different bloodlines with different powers. I'd love to see a mod that makes them more like they're described in Immortal Blood, or at least more unique and less "ripped out of the last game with a few stats juggled around an a resistance to frost".

Some kind of forced transformation based on moon cycles. It seems like, aside from a weakness to silver and an inability to rest, being a werewolf has no downsides and is basically being cursed with awesome. Having to keep track of the moons and lock yourself away or at least be far away from civilisation when the moon was full would make them more "Cursed" so that they don't seem quite so "Awesome".

Solstheim:
Come on, you know you wanna see it and all the assets are already in the game. It's be interesting to see it in Skyrim's timeline too, since apparently it's been conquered by and becomes the last hold-out of the Dunmer. Admit it, it would be amazing to go back there...

There's this book about a vampire hunter where he asks a person about the different kinds of vampires. It ends with the asked person being an oblivion vampire and killing the hunter.
I can post directions to a place where the book is if you're interested.

So, I'm walking cross-country through some valley, in the dead of night, to carry out an assassination in the middle of no where. I suddenly come across a troll. I kill it. With near-gone HP and no potions, i'm lucky there's no more problems - then, another troll comes up behind me, and is taken away by a Dragon.

Next thing you know, there's three trolls, a dragon and a bear in a skirmish. The dragon wins, and flies off. I chase it, and it winds up tangling with a sorcerer or two of fire. After *they're* dead, it comes at me.

The Skyrim vampires are nearly the same as the Cyrodiil ones, but "since different areas are supposed to have different bloodlines with different powers", and given how they were described briefly in that book (it's called Immortal Blood btw), they shouldn't be. They're supposed to be multiple clans in Skyrim each with different powers, yet in the game they are like Cyrodiil's but with some stats juggled about.

I'm sure you could hand wave it, like Cyrodiil vampires expanding into Skyrim and taking out the clans, or one clan that happens to be like Cyrodiil's taking the rest of Skyrim's out, but still...

Once you become a Thane at Whiterun, you can buy the Breezehome there for 5k gold.  It's pretty bare until you buy the upgrades, a la Oblivion, but...

Ok, I might be wrong on this, but you've basically described dwarf fortress. Like, a lot.
I can't wait to play it. Probably on 360 as my PC doesn't meet the specs...

So, what's everybody's count of Dragon-kills so far? I think I'm at 7.

Last time I checked, I have absorbed 11 dragon souls (It's in the Esc menu somewhere ) but I am sure I've killed a couple more since.

EDIT: Okay, to check how many you've absorbed press Escape, click General Stats, then click/highlight Magic, it's near the top of there. I've absorbed 16 dragons so far and I'm at Level 21.

How can I spend the dragon souls to unlock the words? I got a buncha words and some souls, but... yeah

If you're on the PC version, highlight the one you wanna unlock and press r. The game should prompt you asking if you wanna spend a dragon soul on it.
