Roll to Dodge - The Forum Game

Spoiler: Setting (click to show/hide)
Roll to Dodge. There will be no rules, only common sense. Right now I'm going to sleep. While I'm doing that (and possibly after) suggest a setting for our story. A goal too, if you wish.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

The U.S. is fighting an underground organization of highly-trained ninjas, when all of a sudden elves attack using pan-dimensional magical trees as warp gates. Hilarity ensues as spacefaring goblins land on Earth after being pursued by the Dwarves across three galaxies, resulting in a ridiculous five-way war across the planet.

Anyway, can I has spot reserved? :P

EDIT: Character!

Overpowered? Fine? Hard to believe? Suggestions?

Zero's idea is cool, but I think the dwarves wold team-up with the U.S. The US could bomb everyone, us AC-130s and A-10s to blast them to shreads, and the best Navy and Army on the planet. The Dwarves could help complete Railgun technology and Power Armor.

(5) You manage to struggle free of the guards and sprint to a safe distance before tossing a knife at one! (5 + 1 = 6) The throwing knife zips through the air, slitting a guard's throat! It then travels around the group of guards like a boomerang. It (5) Slits another throat, (Three 6's in a row!) decapitates three more (!), (4) slices open the last guard's arm, and (2) narrowly misses a random bystander. It then flies back into your hand. Holy crap.

Also, reserving a spot just to be irritating.

Name: Charlie Boughton
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Bio: Charlie was bought up into the hard times when the US were invading China, and lost his father to this same cause, his mother losing her grip on life shortly after. Raised harshly in a back street orphanage, Charlie is not only strong physically, but also emotionally.
Items: A ring with a small amount of poison hidden in a fake stone, a remarkably strong remotely detonated nose piercing and a locket containing a lock of his mothers hair, along with his trusty 9mm pistol and 3 clips.

Can I reserve a spot? Probably to late, oh well...
Too late?

Name: Dave
Species: Elf
Gender: Male
Bio: A rogue wanderer, Dave has always been a good merchant. It's the only keeping him alive in an everything-eat-elf world like this one. He buys low, he sells high, and he charms anybody into listening to him. That doesn't mean that he's defenseless, however...
Items: A protection sentinel (Robot, weak, protects user until dead, very low fighting capabilities, but good at scouting), Some high quality rations, A mechanic's toolbox (To repair the robot), and a lot of money.

Does that sound good? Just delete the sentinel if you want, I just wanted it to mostly help keep an eye. If you keep it, it should fire simple bursts of energy at low rates. It's useful to blind, or perhaps hurt unarmored units.

Edit Edit: Commaopalis, wow...I use a lot of commas.

I have to go with DBZ's idea. Update OP with more relevant data later. (Note: Not all will be the same)

Story up! Post your characters.

How much bio would you like? I started but I'm at work and it saps the inspiration.

Edit: although it didn't sap it that much. I have posted a character sheet above.

Posted my character. Is he a bit overpowered?

Yep.

I liked the bio since I'm sure I recently read about a Scandinavian (sorry, can't remember where) dude who tried to make a nuclear reactor in his kitchen. So totally believable.

Does seem to have quite powerful equipment though.

A bit too powerfull. Tune down the damage or the charge amount for the guns. Shield is fine, though it will rely on a dice roll to see how well it worked.
