Name: Willem van Clarke
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Bio: Clarke was born in Amsterdam in the late-1900's. He lived with his parents for most of his life, being afflicted with a disorder much akin to schizoid. Having no social interests, Clarke researched he arts of war. Not because he cared, but because it interested him, very much in fact. When he was accepted into the university, he performed rather well, but nothing could satisfy his thirst for knowledge, like finding ways to annihilate the enemy. Inspired by the man who had built a nuclear reactor in his basement, Clarke set out to find parts to build what he believed to be the answer to the military's problems.
Over the course of a few decades, he built a fully functional fusion reactor. But, since thatwone was too large, he built another one,t his time small enough to fit as a backpack. But even this was too small. He built one last reactor tha could fit
in a backpack, yet kept his discoveries secret. As time went on, he built more and more strange devices, including a focused energy discharge rifle.
He knew that the military was slowly, ever so slowly catching up to him. For about a decade he even lived under the suspicion that the government was spying on him to steal his ideas. But he pressed onward, and eventually, his luck ran out, and he was caught in a beam of radiation. Finding his senses severely damaged, Clarke pursued an answer to it. Having no medical knowledge, Clarke looked to build a computer small enough to carry with him that could amplify his own senses as an external layer over his head.
Fast forward to the Elf Attack, Clarke had been working on a new device--a form of energy shield, if you will--when an elf attempted to axe him in the head with a hatchet. The shield managed to save Clarke, who then turned around, grabbed a rifle, and vaporized the elf. Clarke immediately suited up and made his way outside, ready to test his prototype shield against the Elven Hordes. Stepping out of his front door, he met a strange tree head on. It wasn't rooted to the ground, though having the appearance of having roots. Taking no chances, he blasted it at close range, his shield absorbing the shock-wave from the discharge rifle. The tree was strewn about the ground in the next instant.
Clarke, confused, decided it would be best to leave the country. Knowing that no airport would allow him to bring his life's work with him, he made his way to a local military base and stowed away on a cargo flight to the U.S. Jumping out the back when the plane flew over Washignton D.C, his inventions absorbed the impact and he managed to land in an oak tree belonging to a national park, splitting it down the middle.
He is now wherever he currently is as a result of plot magic.
