Tala sent William a birthday party invitation. Maybe that should be rolled to see if it gets to Will or does it autosuceed?

Unless William is trying to hide himself, it should be an autosuccess. Is he?

4. would be either Dalannor (east or west) or Kothitas (the gray area just to the left of the Lowlands, if the GMs accept my placing it there), which you probably don't want to be in if you're a Hacturi.

Please, do NOT take me for a fool. I am well aware of which casting has three trainable phases, what I've asked is if, just as there may be a "Skilled General trait", a similar trait such as "Skilled Binder" could be picked at the start.

So much have I gone around reading the rules that I can quote the following, albeit not in exact words: "if you wish to be a wizard you may well start paying for how horribly broken you are by looking up the rules on spells".

There are three existing traits for magic:

+1 Power
+1 Control
+1 Resolution

If you want something else (+1 to fire spells while casting underwater) ask if it's an ok trait and the GMs will give you an answer.

Also, I've been busy during the last couple of days, but I'm back now.

I should really put a clarification on this issue in the second post.

Traits: There is not a list of them, they don't do anything, their only purpose is to keep characters starting situations sensible. A trait merely represents a major skill or position possessed by the character, be it skill in a particular element of spellcasting, a talent for speech, seduction, or swordplay, or being a hacturi, a noble, a renowned artist- if you can think of a trait, you can propose having it.

Azthor: I realize that you are trying to be careful, not step on anyone's toes, and that's cool, but really, this game is not about mechanics. In most things, common sense applies. Just propose a character and see what people think. Worry about mechanics as they come up.

Also, I've been busy during the last couple of days, but I'm back now.

Is future training simply based on time or do you roll every year of study to see if you've improved your mastery of a given field? I reckon I am being overly careful, but with just about the whole of the character accounted for in such a way it'd be a waste to abandon this approach during the last 5%.

1d6, the rolls are as follow:

1: -20 to training
2: -10
3: +10
4: +20
5: +30
6: -10

You need a total of 100 trainings points to become better at something.
