I'm the leader of a mercenary band, and a young and fresh leader at that. I don't really know how I'd go about my stated goals of "Fuck biches get money" without first dealing with whoever the current ruling politician is.
I mean, I wasn't even told what sort of defenses Polca currently has (possibly because it's up in the air? I'm not sure, I can't tell from the latest posts regarding that plotline) so it's not like we can go bandit and raze it to the ground for the lulz. Which we wouldn't do, it's always better to leave a city that you can raid again the next time you happen to stop by...

Well, you asked about the political situation. Unfortunately, that is in a state of flux at the moment. I assume you don't arrive in the middle of the night during William's escapades, so you will have to wait for the past to happen before I can tell you what is going on.
Any escapades in Polca will probably require the results of William's escapades, but you don't have to stay there. Mind, William's escapades should nearly be over.
