The main problem I have with it is the cross, as a symbol, has no significance in the world of YaK unless there is Christianity. For example, in Dragon Age the main religion has fire as their symbol since their martyr died by pyre instead of crucifixion... so unless the Vadud line has a habit of getting crucified I don't see it meaning much to them and is just there because it has meaning in the real world.

Now, if it was a thing of the Dragon Empire (or Queen Laythe, for that matter) to crucify their enemies, and William was taking up the symbol of the cross as a sort of 'screw you' to them... ;)

Also, anyone hoping to put one of Laythe's cousins on the throne shouldn't bother, I just rolled to see what relatives she had, and she didn't have ANY aunts or uncles...

Why a pike? The only kill (I know of) was by falling... you'd think a wall would by the symbol of choice there. Double meaning too since you can make all sorts of 'unassailable wall' comments. Plus later someone can go all Chris Jericho and break the walls down... :3
