Would it be possible for me to join this forum game? I looked through the rules and lists of events that occurred during the seasons, and it seems really cool.

We're always taking new players :)

Well... I checked the wiki, but I couldn't find anything on how your character's life, personality, etc. actually affect playing. Do they just give flavor for roleplaying? Or will there be different options for different people? I was just wondering before I completely decide.

Mostly roleplaying, but your background can give you some starting bonuses. I have a regiment of watchmen and had a ducat, for example (although I traded that for some land).

Flavor for roleplaying, motivations, how he looks at a problems.
Basically just the personallity and what he starts with, and if he was a general/commander what bonuses to military combat...

Am I in the room or did the runner came later after the discussion about army? Besides I doubt I will be marching anywhere in the winter.

I left it as 'functionary' simply to give Taricus the opening as to whether it was you or not. Since he seems to be ignoring it, i doubt you're in the room and i would safely say that timeline would put this after your meeting

Who/what you are plays into your starting holdings.

Ok, so if I was planning on playing an engineer/businessman with grandiose ideas for things he could create, how would that affect gameplay in ways other than roleplaying?

Thats Vale.
It's probably not to scale...
By the way, Dalannor is on the west side of the island south of Ligoria?

Oh and what are your clan/family/group Colors?

The game is heavily focussed on roleplaying. There is no conversation minigame. A lot of activity is people talking to each other. This makes interesting things happen.

CG: Um, um. How can it take people several weeks, if not months, to march from Shola to Mileth? They aren't exactly distant neighbours.

And gotta love how the Queen is totally willing to forgive a blatant criminal and give him any lands and titles he wants just to get some guns. It seems the only crime worth punishing people for is 'pissing off the Queen'.

Just curious, but where exactly on the map is the Vale?
Sort of between Mileth, Shola, and Ligoria. Situated on a crossroads.

YO, shootandrun, if you think your going to get shot, you need atleast half inch steel plate to stop a musket-shot at point blank. It would be horribly heavy though and if you can't swim in it.
Chainmail is not good to get shot in.At all.

Problem is, I don't think heavy armor will help the negociations. And if they try to get Kathos Thunderblade at point blank, then they'll be in range of his longsword. But still... I think I like the 'seise the ship' plan better. Might as well come in ready for a fight.
