For me to get myself killed, I have to use magic.

Well, i'm still searching, and i have no bloody idea what isgoing on apart from that. I got my squads all over the rich quarters, so I would expect that something might turn up or not. Is this a roll-dependant thing or is it based upon GM dicretion with the entrie Crow action?

There is something else you can do, you have been informed about the watchtower by Avitus, maybe you could go there with some guards and help me open the door.

The guards are actually quite competant. Crow is better than them though, mind you he does have a lot of experience stealing...

Okay, who is still at the night of the kidnapping?

I started the search shortly after the kidnapping, so I assume my night was spent on the rooftops with my people searching on the streets.
I don't think I got any tip from anyone save for te initial " he is in the rich district" thing, so you may safely move it forward, unless someone does want to inform me.

Incidentally! Denyllan is a figure from Taloisist mythology; he was a pirate when the world was young, and stole all sorts of things from the early humans. Eventually he is confronted by some religious figure, and he is revealed to be a fallen servant of the bright one, and he repents. However, he has stolen so much that he cannot return it all, so he enchants his cargo and throws it into the sea, where it floats away, to wash up on every shore of the world.
As a result, all men of faith may salvage the wreckage of the seas, for it is Denyllan repaying his debts to mankind.
...yeah, sure, Taloisists. That'll get you around salvage laws, "a thousand-year old angel gave it to me".

1) Sure: [13] (Ouch)
2) Technically, Denyllan's cargo can also be things which have been stolen but you can't get back to their rightful owners. As an angel, he is quite capable of making his cargo fall into your hands even when you are, say, looting a master thief's stash.
Though this argument rarely holds up in a court of law (even one dedicated to Taloisism), it does help folks sleep at night. (I'm not a thief. It had already been stolen. I tried to find the owner, but I can't. I guess Denyllan wants me to have it)
