Becuase William is just misunderstood. He's really a kind and simple soul.But of course, two years on the streets of Lonemine as an orphan, three years in Crimson Guard bootcamp, three years as a squire for the head of one of the Crimson's guards chapter, eight years as a Khapitan, fighting in the Ztaharain campagaign, being born a Vadud. Thats enough to turn any kind soul into a hellish Pyschopath capable of anything.
You don't see Jan and Thom complaining about murdering preists, or William killing a widower. The only thing William is unable to do is murdering a defenseless child.

Molotov's can be made of any combustible liquid material, it doesn't require petroluem. As long as the bottle can shatter and the liqaud inside can burn, the molotov will work.
Anything flammable can be used to make a firebomb.
