Re: XP system - Logistically? No. It'd end up complicating the battle structure more than it already is (that one battle took me an hour to learn the rules, and i'm pretty sure i still did it wrong)

The upgrade system we have needs more fleshy content, and the costs involved in training units are a lot less painful for everyone now that land gives more ducats. I would rather add to and balance the systems we have in place rather than create new ones.

Except research...thats getting done damnit - cause its required. Otherwise what else does a king have to do with their coins? You can only recruit so much.

Actually, a flat XP gain wouldn't be hard to add on top, but the bonuses might be...

Its the combat part that would get hard...theres a few ways i ca think of to add it and make it still usable, but they're just logistically a nightmare to keep track of without some epic automation. Combat is good as it is, the upgrade system works fine - we just need more upgrades to add different kinds of modfiers to battles. All we really have now is the scout/ambush mods

Alright... don't suppose someone could chuck the new combat + trade rules on the wiki? I would but don't know where they are and don't fancy going back 50 pages through OOC if somebody else has a good idea where they are.
Trade rules didnt really change, but i can add the NPC traders part if needed
Combat rules didnt change, but i need Iituem to get back to me on what the actual rules are...otherwise we're making shit up around here

Im pretty sure the rules are simple: d6 vs d6 plus modifers plus str totals for each side
