Er, ashton, the SCTG doesn't have the financial clout to give out loans. There's a bank in town which might extend credit (1 year loans), but there's not an institution in the game which could loan you money (for two years).

I'm pretty sure they can, in the original YAK traders could get guild credit and also the SCTG status at the moment says:

Guild Status:
Size 4, 4d/yr profits
9/12d loan limit, 3d to misc merchants in the guild

And I'm not sure how much more you could imply that the SCTG can give out loans based on that. I mean I'm 95% sure that means they can give out loans, did I miss something like having to be a member? The letter goes more to CG's character than an NPC faction

Oh, right. Could have sworn it was size three. Either way, no reason to get contact some musty old guild when there's a local bank to lend you money.
