EDIT: The intention is raising gains from lands is so that nobles can do more than just hire 1 unit a year. Gives them more money to stockpile in case they want to overthrow a king

I'd say half the taxes are paid to the new nobles, and the Current treasury is what's left after some random spending by the queen previous to the game point starting.

Kid started with an army too didnt he? 3 regiments of royal guard? Basic infantry i believe. So grab those as well.

Tari, see any issue with my own start? 3str ship = 3 infantry for strength. I also have no real assets, unlike your 12d

Also, got the potential values sorted out. The first nuber should be 0 until a business is set up, then goes UP until the limit. Which means I need to know how prosperous the port and market are...

EDIT: No problem here about starting the SCTG with a STR 3 unit.

what was miring? 3d/yr in taxes off the port/market. I think 3/4 of your capital's Market potential would be sunk into the port and market
