Ok, so far we've gone only through 3 years ingame and it took us ages. I see no reason to bother with anything remotely approaching children or romance, save for any political marriage that Erik or any other pprince may want to engage in.
If you plan that long ahead and want to have a little family of your own, RP it or something. Drua pulled it off quite nicely, with RP and rolls where appropriate and that was the end of the story. We don't need or want to get into the details, that's not the point of it after all.

EDIT:I find it seriously sad if you find Rping your own romance to be sad and yet find one with an NPC who's actions are defined by dice to be totally normal. Do you need a romance with a mechanic in a dice game??

If you people need a mechanic for this, you're in serious need of a social life. Theres no practical reason for an actual mechanic. The GMs can track a private 'favor' system for the more important NPCs...the rest dont matter enough to cause more work for the GMs.

@Iituem: -2 inc would be better. Given even a 3 on a sale roll? Wine would generate 3d per unit sold

even at -2
2.5d prod cost, size 1 is 4 units/season
6d/season avg. And thats doable with 1 (albeit dedicated) ship

She drugged a guy and tricked him into marrying her.  That's not fucking romance.

Also this is a GAME, I'm not going to role play my own romance because I could easily just say then we get married and she gets pregnant, nine months later we dun had a baby.  I don't care about having children with my character, but you know who does need a child? Erik, because he needs heir.  And that would lead to strife when he dies *which we all know is going to happen since pretty much 95% of the players are against him* as those who are loyal would obviously want the proper child to take the throne, just as the Mirish people obviously want Trubaldsome over Erik.

Plus courting mechanics was a joke because Iiteum has been over worked.

Anyways, I can't do anything until Digital Hellhound replies because Erik's next few administrative actions rely on how said meeting goes.
