You automatically produce at 4 increments below base (I will very likely fix that 2 below base later, depends on whether it needs balancing), so you need to pay that much to get the goods.  Sales are conducted as with the merchant system.  Unless you hire transport to shift your goods out of the province to somewhere else (or pay a trader to do it/sell them the goods) or you have a warehouse to store goods in, you'll automatically sell goods at the end of the season for whatever is the going price in that province.  Usually you'll make a profit, but it won't be a massive one - probably 1 or 2 increments.

We don't.  I'm already toying with whether to draw the line at a courtship mechanic. 

Mostly if you just read through the previous posts or the occasional synopses (we may have to start doing those at the end of years) and apply some common sense about what is and isn't widely known in an area you can get a good idea of what your character does and doesn't know.  No need for a mechanic there.

Edit:  Smart-alecness aside, it really does pay to skim back through posts and think about what you read and where.  If you are in doubt about what you know, you can always just ask.  Players who are more informed will be happy to tell you what is and is not common knowledge.

Actually that reminds me, I told Troubladsome about the Zimtar attempting an assassination on King Eric's life, firstly would I know this after having spent time with the Zimtar and is it common knowledge... doesn't matter too much just curiosity.
