Also if Suul were to fall, are Cyclists going to re-christen the cathedral as their own? It would be interesting to see the Grandmaster turing into cardinal. and we know what cardinals do....

Knave will probably end up being Thomas Moore or Richelieu.

I'm really trying to play a character who's first goal is to see the rise of His King and his religion ahead of his own personal gain. But such an awesome structure would serve the Cyclicist religion very well I think. Considering we've basically made it an off-shoot of the old Orthodoxy religion which seems to be most present in Suul I don't think it would be a large stretch to re-purpose it to fit our needs and expand the religion. Of course this is assuming the entire thing doesn't burn down.

Shamanic/pagan temples probably not so much.

I recommend sticking around Sheepstead though. Erik is going to want at least one sneaky-style traveling companion when he goes to Preston, if only because you never know when you need someone assassinated.

Glassware is an interesting case in that it's the only commodity that's both a staple and a luxury.  It is at its most valuable in peaceful, high urban population nations without a lot of open land, but is still pretty demanded even in times of war.

Tax on businesses of any kind are determined by the rulers of the province they are based in, so rulers can do anything from no tax to moderate tax (i.e. 1 ducat in 4 from businesses) to nationalised (almost all the profit!).  So far I haven't bothered to exact NPC taxes on merchants buying/selling goods, either.  I might start doing so.
