And Grand Master Black is a dead man when I find out about the Dukedom. Well played. You got yourself killed. Do you -honestly- think that Terenos will take that news well? At all?

he he yeah I figured as much! It'll make for a great fight/read at the very least.

But, I imagine you'll still get the Duke title as soon as Erik comes to town. The Grand Master is far too suspicious though and figured he had to at least attempt to change the king's mind in the mean time.

Maybe, Maybe not.
But he's got Charisma, the love of his people, honor, virtue and is most likely relativly handsome. Every goverment needs a face, if they see a warmongering dictactor they won't like it. If they see a peace-loving but able to defend himself prettyboy they love him.
