That was against Retcyl, who is relatively inexperienced in commanding Elvs. The Dragons would have decades, if not centuries of experience. If they ever show up in the Storm Coast (nigh impossible), and you run into them, you will need a string of sixes to even be allowed to post suggestions for what William does. He would become an NPC under their command, if they so wished.

Okay, so I can't resist. Time to have a stab at joining this, if it'll be okay. How's this:

Name: Seracc Lenkas
Description: A strong young sword-for-hire, Seracc was probably once handsome, his face now carpeted in battle scars. His dented armour and scratched sword are symbols of all he stands for, and his profession.
Background: From the mountains to the north of Ligoria, Seracc was obviously a good fighter from a young age, and so it became his job. Using his money to get passage to the city, he plans to become a mercenary or guard for a high-ranking lord, and maybe even the QUEEN one day.
Starting resources:
A major skill/power: Skilled Assassin, Extraordinary Fighter. [2 ducats]
1 spare ducat.

Spaghetti: Welcome, and just between you and me, you don't want to start in Ligoria, the queen is a crazy, evil, paranoid asexual who likes "treating" people...
Why don't you start in Polca and meet with William, he's less quirky and disturbing.
Although I don't know about the things you started with, he looks cool.

Spaghetti: A pure fighter character may be a tad one-dimensional. Mercenaries/guards tend to have little in the way of independence; a realistic portrayal of your actions would be 'follow my lord around, protect from hypothetical dangers'.
You may want to change your character's ambitions to something more... ambitious.

Yeah they probably use pheromones or something. Invest in nose-plugs whilst you're at it.
