After some people talked about my wine business, I looked again at the numbers, and here are the results.

Wine is sold at the price of 4 ducats. However, in Ligoria there is a +3 demand for luxury goods, and the increment for wine is 0.4 ducat. This means that wine is sold at the price of 5.2d (4d + 3 x 0.4d) in Ligoria.

An industrial business will produce goods for four increments less than the base price. This means wine will be produced at the price of 2.4d (4d - 4 x 0.4d).

So my wine is produced at the price of 2.4d and it is sold at the price of 5.2d, which means I make 2.8d of profits every season. This is because the wine increments are of 0.4d in the spreadsheet, while last time I checked they were 0.2d.

So, Cyber Genesis... Should I change my profits for every season? Or am I mistaken somewhere? I'm looking at this spreadsheet btw.

And shoot: It's 2d a season. Remember that Ligoria produces wine on a large scale, thus a -2 increments due to that. Unless that doesn't count.

It doesnt, hes producing his own. The -4 is production costs, not buying from others

The rules don't talk about that - and it would not be very logical... I don't see why a noble would not own a few businesses.

I paid for the starting production in the very beginning I think, and then the price for production in the next season is taken from the profits of the current season. If you see what I mean.

The intent was that nobles were gaining income from land, we've mostly ignored this rule since starting YAK 2. Business owners and merchants had to Merc-hire all their units, so they paid more. Thus the extra income.

Im wondering if higher tier production should have higher costs. This is going to get ridiculous as it is. 2 seasons and you've made enough to upgrade to 2units/season. So yeah...Higher tiers should really cost more per size.

Sounds a little extreme. How about 1 ducat per tier? That way, I would only make 1.8 ducat/season - which means it should normally take me around two seasons to get one fully upgraded unit.

No SC, the original rules said that you -couldn't- own land and a business

I like the +2...6/size seems fair for a T2 good. Honestly you shouldnt be upgrading (loically) every 6months
