If Tristan finds this out (that Laythe exiled William for doing what she was planning on, but doing it first. And also she's putting aside all administrative concerns for petty vengeance), and he thinks putting someone else on the throne would be better for trade with Dalannor, you can count him and his watchmen among the rebels.
