8-9 Base military strength. The royal units are upgraded, so about 14-15 Military strength.

Mind you, the vassal units would the first to die in any military conflict, due to the fact that A) they're non-upgraded and b) They're not the royal army, and thus being used to screen the army from large amounts of casualties.

Leone, that looks fine, and yes, as mentioned, there is no enforced upper limit on the amount of players, and timezones are all over the place.

Also, on the subject of what the haps are, should we start thinking about turning over to autumn?

Hold off for a moment. If you change the seasons and all that, take into the acount my manouvers and preparation.
By the next season all soldiers should be geared up and I should have complete albility to wiled them.
I wanted to mention upgrades. As I understand it, I have the chance to choose traits (1? 2?). I would be useful to have them before anything starts.
