So I see we have some interesting developments here... Damn shame about the bloody timezones, I'm always either away or asleep.

On the other hand: Unless queen does it herself, I will (that is my Char) probably start drawing up plans of invasion on neighbouring countries. I will be asking about the military capabilites of these, I will probably try to organise military intelligence unit and will be presenting maps to the queen. Obivously all in great secrecy. I hope that my audience request has not gone unnoticed. Unless I will have to chase after Laythe all over the city to find her watching a tourney.

I agree, you guys have got to get some military action happening. Or do something. Yeah... Jeez, Thatkid was conquering everything, and moving to stop a conspiracy by now!

Most likely. There hasn't been a reason for war yet beyond our freaking huge population. We also don't have any diplomats, I'm a diplomat for another nation. I have other plans...and besides I'm not the badass type.

Population pressure is easy to resolve.... short term. Long term involves essentially taking over more land to farm. its as simple as that. And unless queen is able to do some diplomatic manouvering, most invasions will be very limited and mostly opposed by alliances of other countries. Unless I get couple of miraculous dice rolls and can pull off Napoleon and defeat 3 enemy armies in one battle.

We can go colonising perhaps...Send the royal Ligorian navy out east and look for some unclaimed landmass? Since we have no navy, the queen will need to build one...Or send Retcyl's ship out to the east.

We can't really take the unclaimed lands without pissing off the other cities. Perhaps Ligoria could trade-in their independence (or at least allow the hatcuri some privileges) for some hatcuri aid?

As an alternative, we could bum rush everything around us with our huge population.

Rectyl would probably get (literally) thrown out of Talama for suggesting she become a vassal to another power. Though building up the navy will be nessessary.

Welp, now that I've spent most of the day reading up on the win that is this game (the YaKII thread, the wiki, and the last ~50 pages here, as well as a bit of the first thread) I've decided to sign up, if you're still taking new characters. Just two questions: Is it possible I could join up as a dynamic duo, and what's the signup format?

I smell several plots brewing, considering we have a Knight Vadud, A Hatcur diplomat-spy, a spy nobless, and a merc who don't know that conquering lands around the storm coast is frowned upon and then stabbed upon by everyone else. Plus the minor chars must be planning something, everyone else is.

I vote we conquer Lonemine or Preston. They have sea-ports and are most likely rich.
