*sigh* Look, I'll cobble up something on a tech tree. And work that out. But damnit I will not be happy about it.
Or actually I will. I like working with tech trees. Tech trees are to me what trade systems are to Cyber.
Tech tree? REALLY don't think that's the way to do it, imagine it: your a mechanic and want to research something: OK you've got 2 options, now pick one. That doesn't work in a freeform game

the .36 is from unclaimed allowance *.075(half tax) and the .1 is from my NPC trader heading to you and back to me

its litterally a +.1d, not a tax issue

the .1 comes from my little band of useless traders that generate .1 income per movement. Its unaffected by tax simply because it's a very small amount (and because id be double dipping incomes on them as the one that gains the taxes in my own area)

.1 per move is better than .1 profit, also generating taxes at their tier*holds*tax since a rank 4 would then be making something like 6*2*.1 if they hit my own area as well as yours then back to me and back to you or going to preston or w/e

I made their gains tiny for a reason, and actually decided about 20min ago that they should only travel within a certain range of their home (and never hit the same port twice if avoidable)
-thus you gained .1d out of simple balancing

Tech on a larger scale needs to be addressed, with a system.
For unit upgrades, country advancement, so on. Or did you guys intend to be satisfied with the currently available things forever. By creating a tech tree/web/klein bottle, we allow for things to advance naturally in a smooth process.

including taxes already removed
7 allowance, -5.44(6.4-.96 tax), + 3.2(tax paid by player) = 4.76 * .075(HALF TAX RATE on unused allowance) = .357(.36 rounded)

Personally I think all of these rules are gonna end up a bit excessive, but oh well. :-\

Actually the research is calc'd on a yearly basis and gains are slow, but the bonuses they provide are mostly for slight advantages in certain areas and mostly for flavor of the kingdom

Recruitment set me to 0.5 ducats. Tala got that. Then I got the trade income. I had 3.54 ducats worth of trade taxes.

Which means I have four ducats.

@Tari: we'll go with 4d for you then. This first season was kind of a clusterfuck for the trade/taxes. My bad on that

Ok so i'm really wondering why certain things are being rolled by some people and where some people are randomly gaining ducats from
-I cant find anything about wine being sold by the business (please link so i'm not going crazy, business gains are yearly, not seasonally)

Also: This may warrant reexamination, but the previous game forbade merchant/business owners from holding land. I'm all for skipping this ruling since it allowed for nobles to trade, but merchants not to own land

Anyway, i need to sleep. Things need to just go a bit slower for a while until everything is straightened out - especially who is rolling what. This isn't a "whoever wants to" situation yet, we have several rollers.

The winery could be state owned.

Though relaxing the separated mechant/landholder bits may be more realistic.

So which EXP rules are we using? I think I shoulfd sort out my regiment and make it clear what it is, so it would bew useful to know what they can do. Is everyone ok with me having one veteran regiment?
