Tari, all kidding aside - you know you want me to have an army at the disposal of the empire I simply require some form of payment and my troops or fleet can end up anywhere they're needed.

Payment ideas: Special Relationships, Marques allowing contraband trade, tax breaks(not exemption, just breaks) in exchange for priority trade hubs, etc etc...

No one but Terenos and Adwarf know i even exist - So you'll likely never see me IC till i drop-kick someone into the sea. I try to keep from letting the world know my plans. Safer that way, no kings can get butthurt and have me executed for no reason that way

Say Locanil was able to acquire a large amount of cash. Would he be allowed to establish a town/city on the coast dedicated to scholarship and learning and populated by hatcuri migrants?

In other words, I want to establish a university town that will educate the barbarian Mirish (as in the whole ethnic group) with civilized hatcuri teachings and technology. Hatcuri teachers and scholars would be transported to the university and teach in their fields.

Why would I want to do this? Well students have to pay for their fees and this way I'll be able to make them more understanding of the hatcuri way of thinking. Also I can indoctrinate them peacefully.

So would king Erik allow this? If it should ever be possible?

What I want to know is what prompts Kain or Taric to think they have this power? Neither of you has ..well..ANY power. I've got as much swing as you, and I'll argue for fair taxes on any trade. Why? Cause we -want- to reap some benefit from it.

And should -I- become duke, I have  IC reasons to help and aid Cyber with letters of marque, favorable agreements and so on. Because, and this is important: A mutually beneficial arrangement will help everyone. He becomes more profitable, he pours some of that money back into the lands that are helping him become profitable, and pays his taxes promptly.

But enough about that, I sent my orders too a couple of pages ago, but they were apparently ignored, as no one botherd to answer my question about remote control of trade and ships. Also, Cyber is quite right, if you make the right trade and the right rolls, you can easily make 30d in a year or even more, since the total valuse of all allowance in trade centres is 100d.
Automating the process would be nice since it apparently bothers everyone (including me), but I'm a merchant, and if I don't do trade then my range of abilities and opportunities does not go far.

Clearly you can do remote control trade of ships, as Cyber's been doing it for a bit now with his trades.

I must say that currently, the trade system requires a lot of GM time. So anything that helps that is a good idea.
