I bielive after I become the duke of the Eelspine, i'll build a armada and take over some small countries in a jungle somewhere to give good deals on spices and suh to merchants, and bring in some good revenue for myself.
Would any of you merchant peoples fund an expedition in two years?

Look at the map, there is plenty of unclaimed or banditridden land to the south of Suul, which touches the sea, as well as Suul.
Kain is going to assist in fighting Suul, and hopefully claim quite a bit of land from that particlur adventure.
And since Erik is a devout Cyclist...i think... i can pitch him a line about converting poor savage souls and teaching them to be civilized, i'll leave Amarillys in charge of Internal affiars for a year and then conquer some barbaic southrn lands.
If Erik won't let Kain go, i'll hire an opertive to be the general, invest in dove-messeging and basically conquer land, with a fifty percent split.

Really, You'll be made duke of Suul if you were going to get land out of it, Not just a few parcels...

We'll need to convert Brighthall away from the Suulian Orthodoxy before we can attack Suul.

That might take a few years. We'll need to buy 3 missionaries, and have them set to producing a missionary a year first. And then we'll need to start sending them into Brighthall.
After that maybe we can consider attacking Suul.

Or you could just burn Suul down to ashes

Actually, Kain doesn't. There's a reason we don't metagame like that. And Taric is just bloodthirsty, the looting was justified due to the raid on Stonewood.

'cos your not the only one who spotted that land near the Eelspine and there's a reason I've started allying myself to the nations closest to it, my plan is once I've gathered enough wealth I can go there and claim it for myself and by that point I'll be allied with the Zimtar, Sull (though I can imagine them ceasing to exist soon) and Miring, all factions which stand between me and Elbreth, a nice defensive barrier.

Yep, I can confirm what Filius said: my character sent a letter to his boss, basically saying that Taric was a bloody psycopath and that he had next to no hopes to rescue him.
