War with Vasir could be very interesting if it comes to that.

More likely than not, though, their version of war will be, like, merchant blockades.
Which means that Erik will be forced to support Tearakudo and Hans in their merchant adventures in an attempt to force Vasir into a position of economic deference to Elbreth

Also, someone has been busy with the "Other Nations" section of the wiki. I don't know who you are, but kudos on that.

Heh, I knew Erik would buy Terenos' story straight away. Even if he wouldn't have, it still makes sense to stick with him politically. Poor Aulon.

There just has not been enough evidence towards Terenos being treacherous. Sure, he killed two kings of Miring...supposedly. But both Kings of Miring dying still worked towards the master plan of taking Miring for Elbrethian rule. That and his traveling at a slower pace than might be necessary, while robin-hooding the hell out of Preston nobles, isn't really enough for Erik to turn on his top advisor.
And it isn't like the King forbid looting or anything...

And while it doesn't make it impossible, the attempt becomes all the more difficult when you take favor into account. Because the Grand Master and Kain are the only two people with as much favor as Terenos at this point.

Surely who owns the crown doesn't matter much at all, I mean if an Elbrethian noble whom was rumored to be part of the attack wandered into Miring and called himself king he wouldn't get very far. Also the people consider Lord/King Troublesome to be their leader now anyway, even though he doesn't have the crown. I mean he said he was king, two people contested him and one of his advisers/associates owned them. Being a king may require a GM but he's certainly fulfilled the definitions for being a leader.

Perhaps.
But when the dust settles, the lack of a crown is something the Mirish people, or at least the nobles, will notice. And what happens when Erik marches in with the crown and an army at his back, claiming Trubaldsome to be a plant by Preston forces which have since been wiped out?
Or when Erik hires some stupid peasant to pretend to be the real Trubaldsome, who had gone into hiding after Sir Taric's attempted assassination attempt?

My guees is they'll still be loyal and have a strong distrust of Elbreth, and I also doubt a peasant would be very convincing.

Honestly, I see an easy way to deal with Miring. Finish what Taric started, just kill everybody. The region will be impossible to govern otherwise.

Hell, it shouldn't be too hard. Taric has already done most of the work for you.

Yep. Grain in Preston and for that money LQ lumber to be taken to Sheepstead. But Elbreth has -1 demand for staples so I might lose out on that trade.... No matter. Grain in Preston and from there LQ lumber to Elbreth.

Having ridiculously high favor with the King: It solves everything.

That said, Im sure you guys -can- deal your way out of this, it'll just take effort.
