And why would you stay with that ship rather than rejoin your chapter?

Well, Taricus was on the queue and not supposed to join the game until I got the whole Space Marine power sorted -- sometime after the passenger ship adventure. I'm not even sure how many people I can handle at the moment, since last game we were running with 4 for most of the time, so I'll have to see how this next game goes to see if 7-8 players is possible for me to handle at once and then figure out whether adwarf still wants to play since he signed up before Taricus.

I'm not too worried about their canonicity as there are ~750 unexplored chapters and with a tad more Grimdark injected I think the Knights Inductor can work. Stuff like Ender's Game Tyranids is right out, and their sub-sector wouldn't be an Utopia, but a chapter being more open to diplomacy and other foul liberal influences isn't out of the question.

Taricus could very well be coming to explore the methods of governance developed by Koronus locals who've been separated from the Imperium for ages, and perhaps seek to uncover new forbidden technology which might improve lives back home. This sort of moving behind the Imperium's back and doing things their own way is what Rogue Traders are best at (it's even in the name).

Of course this all assumes that you guys survive and I feel I can expand the current number of players without detracting from the game. His inclusion will be at least another session away.

Mindless banter aside, I do hope the Space Marine can play. It'll just add another level to my insanity.

Newsmuffins got you there. 40K is a setting, not a story, and everything and nothing is canon, and nobody honestly cares. I for one welcome our Reasonable Marine masters, etc. etc. , even if it means my Kroot ends up overshadowed. see you all tomorrow tonight?

God dammit.
We're about to be hit by Hurricane Irene, and everyone is expecting to lost power, which means internet.
Also, they've decided that my computer isn't worthy of the generator.
It also would prevent me from using the internet, because the router/modem is on the same power strip as my computer.
Dammit.

Sounds bad. Pre-game we'll meet up in #DorfHeresy (freenode) to see what we need to do to get this thing going. If we lose our faceman/RT these next few encounters can... well let's just say that having a diplomat would be helpful.
