I allowed for 2 options when creating characters.

The first is the Point Buy method where everything starts at 25, modified by Homeworld, and you get 125 points to spend.

The second is the usual rolling method, which is what that random character generator does.

Since you wanted to be a Moritat I posted the changes you would need to make option 1 (Point Buy) work with the package, if you wanted to do that instead. However if you decide to stick with the random creator that's fine too, and you won't need to do anything extra.

So you're using DH characters in a RT game. Alright.
You said you linked to a character creator, is that the one at sup/tg/?
Do you have Hamachi set up yet?
You're using a blend of DH and RT psychic system, correct?

Any way, I plan on being a dedicated psyker, unless anyone objects.

Yup, same character creator, though that was mostly to help people who didn't have the books.
Hamachi should be good, unless it's more involved than Create Network and go. According to Taricus we don't need it anyway.
Right. It's a simple 1d10 + Psy Rating (current) to meet Threshold, using Rogue Trader's strength levels.

Alright. I still like to use it because it's really easy.
Wasn't it in DH you rolled as many d10's as your psy rating for threshold?

Yup, that's how DH works, IIRC

This is my sheet straight out of the sup/tg/ generator.
I rerolled Strength.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Even though I did random rolls, do I still have points to spend on other stuff, or am I locked with this?
Also, how does WillPower factor in? As you can see, I have 58. Double 10's on the roll awww yeah.

I'm not sure if I'll allow you to keep the Divination or not. Willpower is used in combination with your Psyker level to determine maximum Psy Rating, which brings me to the other thing. If you play as a psyker you'll need to spend at least 10 points to get the first Psyker Merit rank. I think I'll lighten up on the restrictions though and let you subtract them from different Characteristics. You can purchase up to Eta rank if you want (2 + WP Bonus max Psy Rating) for 15 points subtracted from whichever characteristics you're willing to sacrifice.

Depending on which Disciplines you pick Willpower can also have effects on the power. Mental battles still mostly involve Opposed Willpower Tests.

After a lengthy chat with one of my players I've decided to rescind many of the combat changes so that combat is simpler to keep track of (and not even more gruesome for you guys, which vanilla already is). Homebrew Cont. post has been updated. I'm keeping the Righteous Fury change intact for now to see how it plays out. Since mook NPCs don't get Righteous Fury it should be a net benefit for you guys.

This should make it a lot easier for new players to adapt to the game since the book will be mostly correct on how combat works.

Well...
I added up all of my stats, and it's at 319.
Subtracting your base line, it equals out to 119, leaving me with 6 points to spend (not counting points spent on wounds, see below).
Also, did you specify starting wounds, or did you leave that to rolls? Because I currently have 11, from the roll.

Never mind, I finished reading.
Alright, I'll see what  can sacrifice.
So, if I take every flaw except for Hideous, and Wavering Soul, I get 26 points to spend.
26 points gives me enough to get Epislon level. If I make all of my characteristics even, I can get Alpha level (I'd have 55 points, meaning I can take off a few flaws).
That doesn't seem right, but ok.
I think I'll get rid of runt.
Heh heh, hey guys, guess what?
You got an Alpha level psyker!

I ain't letting you roll out with an Alpha the first game! That would be insane, and filled with Warp demons popping out of your head.

If you reaaally want to though, I may let it past. You'd still have to raise Psy Rating normally so it's really a measure of your character's top potential. High-end Psy Ratings were intended for later players who'd get a Starting Point boost (Merits only) for catching up to the rest of the party.

Heh, alright. If you'll let me, I think I'll stick with Alpha. I didn't think I'd start any higher than 1 psy-rating any way.
Still, it's nice to know that I'll have huge potential, if I don't die horribly.
EDIT:
How often would I be able to buy Psy-Rating advancements?
The DH career only lists it at 1 every other rank or so, but I have a cap of 13.
I know you said you'll be doing advancements differently and all, I just want some confirmation.

Hehe. I only changed the way combat works. Character Creation remains untouched.

Just as long as you use cover and avoid doing anything suicidal you should be (relatively) safe.

Also, I haven't seen many of you do this so far (I think only Yoink has), but a part of my freeform classes is allowing you to pick which Characteristic Advancements are Low/Medium/High cost. If you haven't done so already mark down 3 of your Characteristics as Primary (P), 3 as Secondary (S), and 3 as Tertiary (T). So if you want your character to be an agile close-combat user you could pick Primary as Weapon Skill, Agility, and either Strength or Toughness. These will then use the cheapest scheme where the +5 advancements cost 100 / 250 / 500 / 750 to raise those characteristics.

Secondary uses the 250 / 500 / 750 / 1,000 advancement cost.
Tertiary uses the 500 / 750 / 1,000 / 2,500 advancement cost

EDIT:

Right now the only limit is how expensive Psy Ratings can become. I put the costs in the Psyker section. Between powers and Psy Rating you should be increasing by 1 PR roughly every time your XP would hit the next rank. It can get somewhat high early, but combined with the huge chance of triggering a psychic boom while Unfettered you'll probably be working at half strength most of the time.

Upon second thoughts, I think I will use the Buypoint system. Looking at my stats I realize how awful they are for someone in my occupation.
