The Rules of Dwarf Fortress
« on: August 13, 2011, 06:25:21 pm »

1) LOSING IS FUN!
2) ...
3) ...

Post what rules you think DF should have or does have. Numbers aren't really important at this point because eventually we'll reorganize it into descending order of importance (except #1, one will always be losing is fun), we'll compose a few draft lists after all suggestions have been made and then accept the grand master list at the end of all this. NOW POST THE RULES!

I did not know jumping was possible yet. Can someone confirm this?

Perhaps your forgotten beast could fly.

More of a statement than a rule.

Murphy's law is the law of the land.

This pretty much sums it up.

6. Socks are sacred, do not let them lay around outside where goblins/kobolds/whatever may get them. They must be retrieved at all cost!

....They just refuse to stay down unless butchered, in which case their skins will haunt you until you subdue and tan them. Never has legendary butcher and legendary tanner seemed so valueable as in this release.
