The EXACT problem with size in relation is specifically once you reach certain sizes.

It almost makes the Pokemon size indicator to be genius by comparison (it shows a picture of your character beside the pokemon)

Which wouldn't be a terrible idea to do. A block representing you and one representing the creature.

Well, a bronze collossus would get something akin to " Sixty-Thousand" Times your weight from being metal. Not sure on the size. But the only thing that really calls into question is how are we denting it/how did it fit through the tunnel

Problem with doing x-times your size thing, is that when stuff becomes demon to dragon sized, things would be kind of ridiculous.  "The snow fiend is one-hundred sixty seven times times your height."  Would be strange to see.

That's not too extreme for a fantasy setting (though perhaps a bit too extreme to be the average demon in a fantasy setting).

Would probably be around the average size of a last boss demon.

What about using specific common animals as standards of measurement when something is more than several orders of magnitude larger or smaller than a dwarf? Like "This creature is ten times the size of an elephant."

As for the uncanny level of accuracy mentioned, measurements could only be given in certain levels, such as "twice," "thrice," "ten times," "tens of times," "a hundred times," "hundreds of times" etc.

Well. What I'd suggest is not even having the exact weight and height displayed.

But instead give a size in relation.

And example would be if you were in Fortress mode "This creature is half the size of a dwarf, this creature is quarter the weight of a dwarf " Etc

And in adventurer mode it's given directly off what race YOU are. So if you were a human and met a giant "This creature is ten times your size and weight! etc etc

Good idea!
