Oh my, that's both awesome and sick crazy Cooks
« on: August 12, 2011, 07:23:02 am »

So one of my dwarves decided to render some human fat since I settle on a minotaur's layer.... I figured how can I make this worse...

HUMAN TALLOW SOAP!  So now my dwarves will be washing their wounded and themselves with human scent soap....

Nazis already made that but it wasn't economic enough. Pain and suffering don't really lower the production costs, though they raise the entertainment value slightly.

the lair must have some human skins and other butchering products as well, be sure to tan and cook them before they rot. it's highly valuable stuff because it's so rare. too bad your dwarves don't understand that.

"Urist sold his soap to human caravans at ☼5 a bar. Lord knows what they charged. It was beautiful. We were selling rich humans their own fat asses back to them."

And here I thought Godwin's law didn't apply in the Bay 12 forums...

But hey; deep down, we are all nazis.

I'm repeating myself, but Godwins Law only covers non-valid comparsions...this one is valid because well, Nazis made Human Tallow Soap....

Actually that's probably an urban myth born from anti-nazi propaganda, though nobody knows for sure... I wouldn't exactly trust Wikipedia on that ;)
But feel free to do your own research on that topic... it's pretty fascinating.

Anyway, this is an awesome find and trading it (back) to humans is the most dwarfy thing to do.

Damn. Wish goblins were butcherable by default. Just imagine my citizens clad in goblin leather cloaks with goblin hair underpants which they wash with goblin soap and eating a goblin meat hotdog whilst visiting the goblin zoo where all the goblin leaders are chained up in cages decorated with goblin bone.

Suppose you could do the exact same thing to the elves and humans. Or even all three at once if youre particularly sadistic.

Imagine a goblin leather cap. Made out of the goblin's "cap." Your dwarves could definitely be disguised as goblins. Very wide, hairy goblins.

It's simple enough to mod in, go to your save's raws (data -> save -> region folder -> raw -> objects) find the entity_default file. Go into the Dwarven Entity (it's the first one in there) and find
Code: [Select]
[ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_OTHER:UNTHINKABLE]
change UNTHINKABLE to ACCEPTABLE and your dwarves will happily hack away at goblin remains.

Yes! Dwarven spies. I'd say youd need to sew a few goblins together for a full disguise though.

It doesn't apply to these forums. The standard law says that whoever invokes Nazi's lose.

Around here we don't lose, because let's face it, those guys were efficient on levels our dwarves aspire to when it comes to cats.
