...your body tangled up in your bedsheets. Looking around the room you take comfort in the familiar scene. A holographic image of the homeworld quietly rotating on the wall, a vibrant green maola plant sitting on the window sill. The sun filtered in through the auto-blinds, causing a slight haziness to appear in the air.

Suddenly you remember what today is, and your dreams make sense. It had been Master Liparo's idea that you be the diplomatic envoy being sent to the skeletal and war-like Drak-Thal, in a last minute attempt to negotiate a peace between them and the neighboring Fal-Shal. Today is the day you are supposed to be leaving your peaceful and comfortable homeworld and traveling into space, that vast cold void.

Eh, I'm fine with vetoing the post, but it wasn't exactly a story so much as it was a series of one-ups. This is happening. Suddenly it's worse! Wait, now it's even worse! Explosions! It's like reading a Michael Bay script. Also,

Replies must be at least one paragraph long. The only exception is me, because I want to give you people as much control over the story as possible.

Some level of maturity and serious-ness is expected here.

Emphasis mine, but there's a distinct lack of paragraphs and seriousness so far. If the rules have changed, that's fine, I'd just like to clear it up in my own brainspace so I can adjust my posts accordingly.
