It worked for a little while the first time, but it wouldn't have lasted very long and it was a newly created god.
We should hide and ask the allied gods if they could give us any soldiers or lend us power.  How strong is Khrone compared to us or our allies?

Khrone's creatures have extremely advanced technology but are very weak to fire. Caelris and Vulcena have lizard men who thrive off of heat but are very weak to cold. They use iron age technology. Veneisone and Eleuthioio have bird men who enjoy cold and heat but will die very quickly when exposed to electricity. You do not know about the other gods' creatures.

Increase volcanism in the planet, introduce heat resistance into flora and fauna. Spread fireman DNA over planet so it will be absorbed by bacteria. It's like Pokemon. All of our weapons and technology will be based on fire. We will burn out this corruption with flamethrowers and incendiary missiles.

Let's ask Caelris and Vulcena if we can borrow a small group of lizard men to train into a warrior caste with which to fight Khrone.  After training, modify them to breed quickly and build an army as fast as you can.  Other than that, Edio's suggestion.

You increase the heat and volcanism in your planet and spread the dna of the previous fire men over the planet. The dna mutates into fire men.

You contact Caelris and Vulcena and ask for a group of lizard men from their planet. They agree and send you about 40 of them. 20 male, 20 female.

When we get the technology, we'll be able to make napalm and flame throwers. For now, the closest thing we can do is rely on volcanic eruptions.

Begin training the lizardmen, using your power to speed up the rate at which they get better and make them breed much faster.
Dedicate 5 males and 5 females to working on new technology, and magically make them smarter and faster.

Cross the lizards with the firemen. Make them volcanic firelizards armed with fire weapons. Picture coming (as soon as I find out what's wrong with my tablet.) Make them elemental lizards that look like their scales are made of obsidian.

Salamander men would be pretty cool.  Try to do everything quickly and stealthily, so that khrone doesn't notice, and by the time he does, we'll have a large enough army to fight him.  Make the lizards completely fireproof, them make their scales extremely hot and hard.  Don't make their scales out of obsidian, because it is brittle.

You give the elemental bond of fire to the strongest lizards. Their scales change from green to a jet black colour. Their scales harden into rocky plates. They can emit fire at will but are extremely weak to cold.
