Small Game ideas

On another note...
roulette academy

I am learning openGL and playing with various game programming ideas..
from 3D graphics to networking games..
country guides

Do you guys have any ideas you would like to see?
roulette

Once my computer is working again I will be trying to knock off a few simple games to play with and learn with..
I might even release SKUNKQUEST (a little game that Tarn and I made when he was visiting earlier this year) :-)

Not so much a game... but:

A simulation that sticks random points together, connects them with lines, then makes them wiggle at random points and by random amounts in a basic physics simulation. Repeat several times.

Run the simulation lots of times, and choose the one that moved the farthest on average in the 3D world. Delete all the others and make several duplicates of the victor, each with a random minor modification (e.g. to point locations or amount/location of movement). Choose the one that moved the farthest. Repeat.

Make a survival game that allows you to play as a Paleo-Siberian hunter in the taigas of Russia. Something in the vein of UnReal World. I will be impressed. Actually, any ancient prehistoric man survival game would suffice.

edit: Have randomly generated snowy taigas in the north stretching for miles and miles, in the far north have tundras stretching for miles and miles, and in the south have steppes stretching for miles and miles.

A stealth game where you play vampire who has to sneak into blood banks to steal ethically farmed blood.

Oh dear. Someone just asked this question. On bay12 of all places. inb4 massive flood of way to ambitious yet half-assed ideas, and a few good ones entirely drowned out by the flood so that they might as well not be there.

We once made a 3-D version of Lunar Lander as part of a university course, so that's an interesting possibility.

I have to go with Tharwen with his idea, but with a modification:
Make it so players can compete with the rando-vehicles in a race. Although on its own it would still be pretty neat.

Make a scripting language specialised for creating games. Then make a genetic algorithm that mutates the code and uploads it to a central repository, where users can play and rate the games, these ratings are then used as the fitness criteria.

There was a "Let's Dev" thread or two a while ago, that's an idea to get ideas. It sounded like fun but I'm just too swamped with other stuff to do any of that myself.

How about a game based around "Social combat"?

I have RARELY seen it done in pleasant ways. (Only one game does it well to my knowledge)
