Is there some trick to using Meiling that I'm missing? When I play as Reisen or Tenshi I tend to get up into the other player's face a lot so I tried using Meiling. I just can't get the hang of her.

Also, what deck builds are you guys fond of using? I generally fill my decks with skill cards and Tengu Fans/Grimoires/Ibuku Gourds.

Hisoutensoku+ looks pretty cool, but I can hardly find any information or videos on it. But from what I gathered, it's basically a list of buffs and adds some new stuff that makes everyone better, and roman canceling. Not too fond of it, really, since I already see Hisoutensoku as one of the most balanced fighters out there. So we've just been playing the normal version.

So the SWR thread's going again?  Nice.  I'm not a particular fan of Touhou, but a friend made me fall in love with this game's system years ago.  I have my router set up to let it through so I don't use hamachi though.

I play Utsuho, Komachi, Youmu, and Reisen.  Been poking around a bit with China and Suika too.

No specific place to chat and setup matches here, but much like Greiger, I am setup to play via direct connect and do tend to prefer it over hamachi when possible. But a steam or irc chatroom or something should work jus fine in place of hamachi's chat room, though people will still have to fiddle with their port settings for direct connecting.

On another note, someone pm me and we'll setup a direct connect match.

Yeah me and SirAaronIII have been playing through direct connect (with sokuroll) and it's been mostly good, although some nights it doesn't want to run smoothly at all. We've just been getting in a steam chatroom.

Maybe a steam group?

You said you were only playing a couple days?  That's not bad considering.  Most of the people in the channel felt like they've been playing a year at least.  I can't speak for anyone else but just about everyone kept me on my toes.
